[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

Glad to hear it, can't wait to try out. Wow these og droid forums are getting to be like a ghost town.

Prime I installed one of your updates but I'm not sure which one. I think it may have a different scheduler. Is there any way I can check? It's taken me a long time to confirm but I have to say it's definitely running faster than the version released way back before you lost you pc and stopped updating.
If I recall the previous version that I updated from was using the BFS scheduler. Wondering if the scrolling performance improvement can be explained by the different scheduler or if it's something else...

I don't want to update from it and risk losing what's made this one awesome :)....

That kernel is the one winner compiled for me, it has updated BFS.

Here is another test kernel:

http://bit.ly/vUkZ12

There are a few changes, I added the following commands to be ran in a su terminal:

ulv
1000
1100
1250

ulv = 900mhz ultra low voltage
1000 = 1000mhz
1100 = 1100mhz
1250 = 1250mhz

These are all temporary overclocks, the primed command is still the same. The kernel is 1000mhz SV by default for this test. Report anomalies as they occur please.

Sorry it's taking so long for another test, I nuked my Ubuntu development environment in favor of mint and it's taken time to get it back up to speed. I am ready again.

To me Ubuntu is too confusing to find different packages, I haven't tried mint yet but I was going to try out debian and my custom built opensuse, its not like I'm lacking hard drive space (like over 200 GB lol)

Also I'm going to try out your newest test kernel and report back (hopefully) I can't say how accurate it'll be since it'll be on my old liquid rom setup though (don't feel like playing around too too much right now)

supercharged modified liquid 3.1 w/turbocharged 3g
Pete's 5 slot lv 1.25GHz w/ kickasskernel tweaks
19.9 linpack score
1856 quadrant score

ok, big problem so far...it breaks all phone signal...

Edit-nvm, for some reason it works just fine on a fresh install

Edit2- seems pretty darn quick lol
37.65 rl benchmark and 19.41 linpack benchmark...also everything seems to run pretty smooth

Edit3- not sure if its a kernel issue but I've been having a few apps just randomly close. While using them (not force close, just instantly close)

This newest update works beautifully for me. No wake up lag. No transition lag. buttery smooth. Whatever you did for the screen wake lag issue you nailed it Prime.

Try clearing dalvik cache for your application issue.

It seems to be better now, maybe everything just had to settle in...btw I noticed that compcache is set up differently (running zswap in terminal and no zram module?) Now all I need to do is get the primed script setup and throw zswap into an init.d file for compcache...also I noticed tons of modules other kernels don't have, any really useful ones in there that aren't too complicated?

I forgot to include the zram module, will update later this evening or tomorrow.

Bootloops only for me, currently on PE 6.5. Tried wiping cache & davlik cache, also tried re-installing. No luck so far, will keep trying.

Decided to dump swapper2 and go back to compcache (18%), then flashed yesterday's kernel.

Seems ok. RL Benchmark says 87 seconds and my free RAM looks steady at about 50MB.

Thank you for all your efforts, Prime!

Edit
Looks like I can drop about 10 seconds while in airplane mode. ;)
