[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

I downloaded it on my PC an transfered it with awesomedrop. I was running 14 before. Which one were you running beforehand? 10char

Try rebooting your device first, I want to make sure you can't get 3G...enable/disable wifi then enable disable airplane mode.

I'm a glutton for something new so I've been on the newest when we were blessed with an update. I think it was 24 or 25 I forget. I just know it was the version prior to this most recent release

Perhaps the version updated from could cause the problem.

Either way I'm compiling a version with substantial networking changes, I will post it for 3G testing when it's completed.

Huh, downloaded the kernel from the op and 3g works. Could there be a difference between that one and the one downloaded via script?

Ok, have more info. When I downloaded the one from the op, I had turned wifi off before flashing it. When I rebooted, 3g was on. However, I started wifi and then stopped it in a bit and 3g did not return. Turning airplane mode on and off did NOT restore 3g, but rebooting did.

The reason the ones form the update_deprimed script seemed to not work at all was because I had wifi on when I rebooted and then turned it of to see if 3g would come on, which it didn't same as the one from the op.

I updated from #13 in the case of the two downloads from the script and overwrote one of those with the one from the op.

Will be happy to test the new version when you upload it.

I have the last 4 kernels loaded in folders on my phone at the moment. However not sure what happened. I rebooted the phone several times before with the updated kernel, and this time doing nothing different (haven't had the chance to toggle airplane mode) upon boot 3g pops up and...yup, confirmed #27 loaded up and everything thus far is fully functional now =). Sweeet. thanks for the help everyone. I love this stuff.

On a side not, I've noticed that with the bumblebee governor running I get a touch less battery life and over the night when my phone is asleep I lose approximately 25-30% battery life while I'm sleeping. No real lag in the system and I keep a close eye on the running processes to make sure I have nothing running that isn't needed soaking up the resources on my phone. Any ideas where I can look next. I did notice in battery stats the android system during "partial wake" was using quite a bit more power recently than usual. Any where specific I should look to try and determine what I can do to stop this.

Installed with wifi off and 3g works and syncs. Turn on wifi, then off, 3g works again for me. Strange. I just downloaded this version and it reports 27 still.

True. I just couldn't get 3g to work from 27 which I installed last night and now it works after downloading it again today.

I had a sneaky suspicion rebooting would resolve the issue, I have the kernel I compiled for testing running on my device....smooth thus far.

The problem with 3G testing is I'm in a no-3G area.
