[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

I am also waiting patiently for something dual core with a 4+ inch display as my next dev phone... hopefully the next dev phone that's released (no samsung for me... blec).

Samsung would have to do something pretty special to get me to buy one. HTC or Motorola are the only android phones I'd consider buying anymore, HTC being the first choice.

htc devices have a cheaper *feel than a comparable motorola in my opinion... but I like them nonetheless.

I'd totally agree with you in that statement on every phone up to the Thunderbolt and other unibody phones from HTC. They feel extremely solid in the hand, just like the D1 does. Now, I can't say I'd still expect it to withstand all the drops my Droid has withstood, even with a case. I haven't had a case on my Droid since the month after I got it over a year ago, and it withstands every single drop I have given it. It truly is a brick :D

I was thinking about getting a certified pre-owned $99 DX since it has native GB support, but I don't want to regret getting it. I'm sure something new and unlocked will come out that I want as soon as i get a DX. There will need to be a Dual-core dev-phone eventually, so perhaps I will wait.

I'm definitely hoping they release something dual core and unlocked soon. Personally, the Galaxy S2 looks great. I don't like Samsung for their past update practices but they may change this time. Maybe the Targa is the phone we're all waiting on. Hopefully I end up with the same phone as you because you're great at making kernels.

Supposedly Moto's Bionic will be out end of Q2. I've seen the feature list, it sounds fantastic. I have not kept up with the rumor mill, however. It will be interesting to see what if anything the hacking community can do with it.

you may be asking in the wrong place. this is a droid 1 kernel, and also not liberty rom. id either check rescue squad, or the liberty rom page.

Deprimed test #15 {#14 changelist combined} (Kernel reports #27 ) - ( 4/3/2011 )

Changed to SLOB allocator (trying it again), reverted back to Deadline IO scheduler (CFQ still available as module), enabled Block layer SG support, enabled experimental mem cpy functionality, enabled Run-time PM (Power Management) core functionality, enabled Wireless extensions on sysfs, enabled cfg80211 - wireless configuration API (as module), enabled MTD using block device (as module for future testing), added a new CPU governor I call bumblebee (a smartass modification), fixed the long standing timing issues for the ondemand CPU governor, other miscellaneous changes not listed because memory fails me :)

bumblebee CPU governor: a modified version of the smartass CPU governor by Erasmux, I changed the latency/timing code to suit the OMAP 3430 (Droid) CPU and will be expanding the code to further performance and expose the control aspects (screenon/off minimum speeds, up/down ramp timing, etc..etc) through an android application. The bumblebee CPU governor currently sets the screenoff maximum to 400/450mhz depending on if your running stock deprimed slots or 'primed', the screenon minimum is set to 250mhz.

And I got it done today as promised :)

Report anomolies/issues as they arise.

What causes this The kernel needs at least 5/10 minutes to settle down after initial flash, then performance should be on par/better than previously... ? I'm just curious.

Really it's not the kernel, Android needs time to settle after booting.

@prime you should follow me on twitter so I can DM you and **** when I ETANOD. Thats secrete code. Read it with a mirror. lol.

I will follow you :)

I stay busy, don't have much time to check my new follower emails so I don't do much following back.

*edit*
I didn't even know I had broken 100 followers, cool.
