@ggrant3876 I'm sorry you couldn't take what your doctor prescribed. I'm glad @cerisecons did his homework. If CBD (no THC) or gummies made with THC are legal where you are, it might be a possibility short term to soothe the nerves. The pharmacist at the dispensary is usually very aware of disease states where either type of gummies are contraindicated. I have a family member who takes medical marijuana(there's a separate section for the"recreational" folks) and the pharmacist knows much more about the clinical facts than we were taught back in pharmacy school in the 70's where everything was "just say no!" There are different types of marijuana for sleep and for pain so you won't have to be sleepy in the daytime. If you don't like gummies there are many many forms available from "flower" which is smoked, vapes, liquid drops, even cookies. There's a fairly long process to get registered for medical marijuana in this state so you'd be well long before you'd be approved. If this is recurring for you, that might be a plan, though. Note: of course you have to restrict consumption while driving and if you shoot, some states are gathering lists of MJ legal recreational users.. You have to show your driver's license to buy both recreational and medical MJ here.
