So sorry, we had to make the same decision on the wife's piki-poo 2 years ago. Was 15 and had dementia and just diagnosed with diabetes. Was one of the hardest things we ever had to do.Sadly, we had to put our beloved 17 year old Papillon Jackson to sleep on Monday. He has had CCD (doggie dementia) for the last two years and had been doing pretty well on medicine till last weekend. He declined rapidly over the weekend and couldn't walk normally and kept crying and whining Sunday night. We brought him in to our wonderful vet Monday morning and made that awful but merciful decision that often comes at the end of a dog's life. My husband and I stayed with Jackson for the entire procedure as Jackson received his angel wings and freedom from anxiety and pain. We love him with all our hearts and he loved us back for 17 happy years. Many beautiful memories made and he will always be remembered and loved. His brother Logan is looking around the house wondering when he will be back[emoji174][emoji240][emoji174] First picture is Jackson about a year and a half ago. Second picture is Jackson with his favorite toy, Bunny. Hope to see you again one fine day sweet boy[emoji178][emoji240][emoji178]
