I don't know what happened to this thread.
I know, it hasn't been the same ever since Efin derailed it and started taking about "wins". [emoji12] clearly, I am the only winner. Everything else is immaterial.[emoji1]

No fighting kids! [emoji12]

Good morning. Happy Sunday! Fresh coffee is brewing and I'm feeling like a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on whole wheat toast.

@cr6, just open a company to ship out meals. @94lt1 already showed that there was a market for that. I'm thinking vacuum sealing, dry ice, and no greater than two day shipping, and solid.

Yeah, I actually thought about that but with it being a niche market, it would require more capital to start up.
I use Blue Apron myself from time to time and they do an amazing job shipping out fresh organic meals. You have to cook them yourself of course, but they give you the precise measurements for that particular meal. I've got a number of free meals to give away since I've been with them for so long. Anyone interested shoot me a pm.
Good thought though @pc747. [emoji106]

I may have to pm you. But remember, the smart business move is to start small. If you go out there and try and open up a factory and hire a bunch of workers you are sure to struggle because you have to build up a market. But maybe start with a few calls in the neighborhood, later try a few more via social media, etc, etc. If it was something you thought about then maybe it was meant for you to take a shot at it. Not that I am trying to push you to do anything as you know your situation better than most. But not all businesses are meant to become the next Microsoft. Some times a reputable mom and pops is good enough. Ill have to take another look at blue apron.

edit: ill click on the menu option for blue apron. I have to admit that what I am seeing for this week's menu are food I dont think I would eat if they were free that alone cook for myself.

no disrespect @cr6, Im currently going through a fast and every thing I see looks good right now. But this (Blue Apron: Fresh Ingredients, Original Recipes, Delivered to You) ill have to do some adjusting. Like I like the burger but probably will look to pass on putting goat cheese on it. The pizza ill stick with just mozzarella, goat cheese and jam toasted sandwich ill just pass on all together or will just eat the toast, but Ill give the pasta a try.

Trust me when I tell you we felt the exact same way in the beginning. Blue Apron isn't about eating the foods you commonly eat everyday, it's about trying new things that are healthy all natural. Everytime we get a new delivery (3 meals a week for 2 people) there are usually 2 of those 3 that we think, damn I would never eat that. But we cook it nevertheless and I can honestly say there hasn't been one meal in the past year that we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. We've eaten a lot of new foods that we would have never thought to purchase on our own had we seen the same dish in a restaurant, but in the end we were glad we did. It may not be for everyone, but we've been enjoying their meals for over a year now.

You convinced me a try it. I may start by trying the recipes and then look at maybe trying the shipping service.
