It seems necessary, but what a PIA if you own one... Even when they replace/fix defective ones, how do you prove yours was fixed, or are you subject to these new rules till you get a different phone? I'm glad I didn't listen to my husband two months ago and get one when I was deciding on a new phone...20-20 hindsight( lol)
