I agree....I'm not into scorching hot spice that overpowers, but since I rarely eat out, spices are my friend when cooking. I usually have to tone things down for my SO since she doesn't like spicy food, but my Friday afternoon Taco truck carne asada tacos I usually order cranked up in the heat department. [emoji95]

Our lunch truck makes their own special Habanero sauce, and a little goes a long way, plus a Chipotle sauce that's to die for, very little real spicy kick, but awesome taste, combine the two, and it's game on...

Overpowering and hot spice isn't good, I've been to chili contests where they try to incinerate each other, waste of good beef etc...

I've seen someone eat Thai food that was #5 in hotness. He was sweating after the first bite.

Some of the Asian hot mustards are good, but same with Habanero, a little goes a long way.
