OK, so I'll stick with 5 for now and see how it goes. I hope I can achieve stability with 5 screens, though there would still be an advantage to Launcher Pro over stock with 3.
Is it better for stability to use shortcuts than widgets?

I turned off auto-rotate, but it still auto-rotates when I'm in an app/browser. It doesn't when I'm just on my home screens but does in handcent/xscope etc and I hate it. Any fix?

Just updated to 0.6.1, I like the new menu layout but with all other versions the 3d app drawer worked fine now when i open drawer it won't scroll, I can open apps that are shown just can't flick through my apps. Non 3d app drawer works fine.

Any thoughts?

Download v0.6.2, it fixes the 3D dock scrolling problem.

I love this launcher, I truly do, but version 0.6.2 is an absolute disaster. Constant force closes and inability to run widgets caused me to uninstall.

Extremely disappointed in how badly this app has fallen off. Too many options for customization has been its undoing. I'm going to reinstall and try again, but if these same problems persist, I'm going to ADW and might not looking back.

Instead of complaining and "threatening" to switch to ADW, it might be more constructive to send me logs of your force closes so that these bugs can be worked out, don't you think?

In any case, if "too many options" is the problem, you can always go back to an older version with fewer options.

Cool, thanks. It also helps if you send some info about your setup along with the logs (ie: number of screens, approx. how many widgets you have running, drawer type, keep in memory option, memory usage option, etc).

I am running the following:
7 screens
LP NOT kept in memory
Multiple Widgets (Beautiful Small Home, True Calendar Agenda, Weatherbug Elite & Maps, 2 instances of Countdown, Battery Left, YouTube, Pandora, Audio Manager, and FeedR)
Memory Usage is alternating between all 3
Notification Bar is hidden

That's the whole idea of that option, to set it according to your needs

Default is medium. Try high, if you get crashes (force closes) try medium, if you still get crashes try light.

If you're not running tons of widgets, High should not crash and will give you the best performance.

I am running the following:

Are your initials D.S? If so, I only got one log from you. It crashed when you long-pressed a widget to move it. Were you using the "High" setting for memory usage? That would explain the crash. A duplicate bitmap needs to be created when you drag a widget, that must have put your memory usage over the limit.

Medium memory usage setting wouldn't have crashed in that instance.
