LauncherPro Beta (SUPER FAST & SMOOTH Launcher!)

this is what I am talking about that the apps bunch up upon opening.

I have memory on medium, and both opening effects set to the max speed.

I am going to try backing down the app drawer opening effect to around 7 or 8. I think its loading up quicker then what it has time to process.

There's nothing on that logcat that can tell me what's making the apps bunch up on the corner.

It could very well be the max opening speed though. I'd try reducing it to 7/8/9 and see if that solves the issue.

Thanks bro..ill give that a try when I update it again.
Any way now I am on break I will update and switch it to the settings.
Also in setting I did not have keep it in memory checked...were you saying to check it to fix the dock issue.

Nope, if it was unchecked leave it unchecked. It's so weird that it would happen with that option disabled, I've only seen it happen with it enabled and I can't imagine how it would happen with it disabled :S

Fede,

Have you heard of anyone having problems with launcherpro resetting very frequently? Basically everytime I open an application for more than 5 seconds (literally) it restarts launcher pro and all of my icons have to be reset. Do you have any suggestions on a fix? Maybe memory usage settings or something? Thanks.

I recently got this and emailed the dev about it, and he never responded... it happened after the last update. I cleared data and put all the stuff back on the launcher and it seems to have gone away for now

yeah I also seem to have that problem of launcher pro restarting after being in a app for more then 5 seconds. It seems to happen most of the time when I go into handcent, and well I use that all day so its getting quite annoying. This is my only gripe now with this launcher.

Wow! Last update made LP a champ....haven't had a force close yet! Believe the Droid Hack is working wonders.

Thanks Fede!

Starting to believe in the Droid Hack / FC fixes myself... I don't believe I've had a single FC all day, and performance has been good. A couple of times I have seen LP have to reload the home screen, but it always only took a couple of seconds.

I've gone back to my customized 0.3.0 version and it's been running as smooth and superfast as it initially was before.... I think too much has been added to it that is making it fickle for most.... love this app so hopefully Fede gets it running as potent as it was when he first put it out.... JMHO

I continue to apply the updates, and the copy of LP installed on my Droid continues to work flawlessly.

flawlessly may be relative to what you consider to be flawless.... I am getting good performance from each update, however not even close to the lightning quick scrolling and superfast loading as the first versions have always given me..... just a fact...

I've tried a lot of the home replacements and have to say that this one is definitely the best. It's fast and for me, usually very stable. I'm looking forward to when it gets out of beta. I'll definitely be getting the donate version.

I love the dock at the bottom. I've put all my important apps on it and can pretty much reserve the screens for widgets and contacts. I love having clean, simple screens.

The one thing that I would really love to see is for the dock to have a default set of icons (the middle 5, preferably) and to spring back to that set if you launch something off one of the others. My middle set has the drawer icon as well as the main phone icons. If I scroll to the side set and choose one of those apps, I'd love for the phone to be showing me that default set next time I go home.

Or relative to the configuration of my Droid. Which is why I said on my Droid. Your fact is in relation to your device.

Gotta say since the last few updates LP has really slowed down. Almost just like the stock launcher. Also getting some weird things happen when I hit the home button. Random apps open. The latest update seems to make it go to the dialer when I hit the home button after making settings changes. Said it earlier in this thread. It might be getting to the point of too many features and changes is starting to drag it down. I think I'm gonna go back to an earlier version for a while.

I was getting the same things as well. I changed the speed opening of the app drawer and screen scroll down. Quit using 3d app. Set my memory to light and it seemed to help everything. The new update is working well too.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled it and it's working great.

Just a suggestion.

I might have to try these suggestions because I am having the same issues... everything has become really laggy as time has gone on.
