He posted the update. Hopefully this update can end my endless restarts of the launcher when exiting apps.

it didn't fix it for me. seems like 5.4 was the last one that didn't do that. Maybe fede can give us the option to have different colors when we press on the apps on the screen?

There's a bunch of new memory management options. Have you tried messing with them?

I haven't tried them yet. I might do that to see if it works. The only widgets I use are, BW, internal memory, setcpu, music, and espn with my icons and 6 screens.

I have a bug now, and I think it has been reported before:

First of all I have LP set to go to my default home screen, rather than thumbnail previews, when home is pressed.

Now, sometimes when in an app and I press home, not only does it try to go to the screen previews instead, but the 3 thumbnails (just using 3 homescreens now) all bunch up in the top left of the screen, overlapping each other.

I believe it might have something to do with two apps recently installed: widgetlocker and quickdesk. Both of these apps ask to hook themselves as the default home app, but then pass the buck to the "real" home app (LP) when home is pressed. Since I've had both of those in, this above bolded thing happens. It goes Widgetlocker>quickdesk>Launcherpro.

Any ideas? I like WL and QD so I'd hate to give them up now...

I also have WL and QD. It took me a while to figure out the default thing, but for me this is what works:
Default app for the home button is WL helper. In WL the home button is set to summon LP. Quick Desk is set to launch by Long press of the search button, not the home button (couldn't get the double tap thing to work anyway). I got the squooshed screen preview thing a few times, mostly before either WL or QD, when I was running more screens though. There are more settings in the. 64 update to adjust; perhaps they will help.

Now that I have updated to BBv0.4, I am back on the stock launcher.

LauncherPro was NEVER "super fast" nor "smooth" for me on the Froyo builds (@ 1 MHz) - it was just slightly better than the stock launcher for speed.

Now the Froyo FRF84B stock launcher is definitely fast & smooth, so I'm sticking with it: Usability is everything for me, and if I can't reliably get to my apps, I don't care if I get 2 extra docks on the launcher tab.

Man, no wonder it's not super fast! At 1Mhz, I'm surprised it can boot!

Did the update last night and there's a noticeable difference. Much faster, and the widgets load much quicker than before. Have only had one FC, which is nice as well.

....in the next update. Can you make it like ADW where you can dictate how many rows of apps you can go across? I'm gotten so used to having five apps per line, that going back to four per line is a loss
