Leaked FRG22 Update Available for Rooted Droid 1

Nothing installed but the bare basic FRG22. Back to stock; installed this latest 2.2 version, and now no Bugless Beast / OC roms or any other basebands.

Not touching a thing. :)
hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback, Desso. My last question is did you install FRG22 over your BB, or did you wipe for a clean install? Perhaps, I should have wiped instead of installing over BB V0.4. I don't have any problems, but I'm wondering if wiping would have been the better thing to do.

thanks for your input. guess i should have added more details. i'm using the stock launcher. it's been 3 days or so since i installed this rom.

there are times when i'll hit the home key from the browser, gtalk, or texting and the home screen will show up blank. takes about 5-10 secs for the OS to draw the icons and widgets. other times, the home screen icons and widgets will appear immediately but it will take 2-3 swipes before the OS responds and transitions.

i only wiped data once and only rebooted once since the install. guess i'll try a couple more reboots and if that doesn't help, i'll start fresh after wiping the phone 3 times.

I had the exact same problem on forced FRG01. I rooted and moved to FRG22 yesterday. The redraw is now so much better (1 sec or less) but the multiple swipes issue is still there.

Anyone ever heard of the website lifehacker?

Did a little searching you will find the one I did on mine (no waiting)

I am not sure if me posting the link is allowed so I wont.

So if I am rooted, still on 2.1, can I still get this?

Or do I have to go to 2.2, THEN get this?

If you're rooted you could go to any 2.2 ROM, 2.0.1 ROM, 2.1 ROM, or whatever, as long as it's designed for the Droid. Unlike a baseband update, there's no forced update protocol.

Just wipe system/cache 2-3x first unless you're going from a "stock" ROM to a "stock" ROM.

Which 22 did you use?

RW, I'm not sure if you're talking to me or Desso. I went with the mirror link (FRG22-DEODEXED-Release-2.zip). I originally went with the first download link, but I saw people having issues with voice search, and that release-2 was the supposed fix.

Another *dumb* question, but wipe system/cache basically clears everything so its like a factory reset, so if I were to do that it would be like I just opened it from the box brand new?

Pretty much. Except your phone didn't come with Kangerade or CyanogenMod installed on it when you got it.

If you have Synch turned on your apps will reinstall automatically to boot.

after i flashed this wireless tethering f/ced whenever i hit the "start tether" button. it was working fine when i was on frg01b. any ideas?
