[ROM] Liberty 3 - the Eagle soars again!

I'm currently using GB 0.9 and would like to move to RC 1.2. Just to be certain that I'm doing this correctly I should SBF back to 602, take the OTA update to 605, run the one click root method to root and then use which bootstrap program to eventually get into CWM to flash Liberty 3 RC 1.2? I have the LG bootstrap and the droidx bootstrap apks, but do I need the droid3 one for this?

Use Droid 2 bootstrap or LGB Bootstrap. Or you can install via the Toolbox

Boot Manager

Loving Liberty 3!

Having a small problem. When I attempt to share a contact (just got a new BT car stereo) it just closes. Not a big problem. I just have to share a contact with my stereo to program my quick dials. Other than that everything's great!

DX. CFU. LIB GB.9

I was listening to streaming audio when the phone rebooted as an incoming call came in. Normally I use Winamp and never had this problem, but this time used the default player included with Liberty 3.

Also, I could not login to a an account on a website. Dolphin wouldn't even bring up the keyboard. The default browser would not allow typing in the password. Odd behavior, but I suppose it may not be related to Liberty 3. However, IIRC this never happened with .9.

Update: I am not able to replicate the reboot. The keyboard issue is still recurring.

I'm have the same problem witht the cell standby being high too. I think it has to do with updating our PRLs but I can't figure out why its not letting me. I'm try to dial *228 and nothing happens. Does anybody have any solutions?

Telling me it cannot authenticate the signature when I try to install? What seems to be the issue here?

- Nevermind guys, got it to work. -

If you flash using D2 bootstrap, you can turn off signature verification

Boot Manager

Thanks, problem was that the Rom manager wasn't working properly. Wouldn't let me reboot into clockwork recovery, so I got the Droid x bootstrap recovery app and it's all good now.

Do you mean the call doesn't go through or after choosing option 2 you still have the issue?

If the call doesn't go through could you be in a bad area for Verizon? (I know there aren't many but...)

If it does go through what message do you receive from the update, if any?

I press *228 then click the send button. It doesn't even attempt to send the call. (I have great signal where I'm at too)

Just installed a few hours ago. Seems nice, not sure on battery life yet. I updated from 0.9 via toolbox pro, didn't wipe anything but the dalvik cache and seems to be fine. Had to download the latest ron manager before updating though. When first loaded it asked to update and it still says updating in system status but no idea on progress with no bar. I've been on 0.9 since release hopefully this new rom holds up to the quality I've been used to. :-)

Battery life is terrible

I went back to Steel Droid 3, where the battery life is really excellent. The battery draining issue with this ROM is terrible and there is no solution to it.
I will reinstall after this is resolved.

Thanks.

Weird. I did the exact opposite. SD was sucking battery like crazy. Liberty is much better on my phone.
