Liberty issue

I am thinking that the free memory setting may be the problem.. default setting is to keep 25mb free ram and when many things are running at once perhaps that isn't enough and the system crashes due to lack of memory... rubix default is 50.. going to give that a go and see if it makes a difference.

Same problem here. Running Radioactive theme. But has happened on all themes and both versions of Liberty. It happens at random times. I've noticed it more when I'm playing Wordfued

same problem here. no theme, no mods. this time when it locked up, it wouldn't boot the Liberty rom. it just kept going into recovery. had to reinstall it from the sdcard for it to boot up properly again.

Same thing has happened to me. Mixzing was playing, screen off, turn it back on and it sticks at a real dim level, barely noticeable.


I'm also confused with the boot animation. I turned boot animation off, and now I have this gold bar on the screen for a few seconds. Then the bar will disappear, like it's loading the sdcard, then the bar comes back again for a few seconds, then the sd card restarts loading. Just thought I would throw that in, as it is doing same thing whether the boot animation is disabled or not.

Same thing going on here. I did not have this issue running Liberty 1.0

My current set up is Liberty 1.5, Crystal X theme, 50mb free from Liberty tool box setting, plenty of space free on card and internal memory, using GO Launcher EX. DX will randomly go to black screen and require a battery pull. Sometimes this happens 2-3 times a day. Sometimes it will just reboot.

I love this ROM and have tried almost all of the others. Please help with figuring this out ASAP...I don't want to go back to another ROM

1. Theme installed
-stock theme

2. Mods installed (no clock, data throttle)
-No mods installed

3. basic information on what you were doing when you experienced the issue.
-I will go to turn the phone on and it either won't turn on or is extremely dim. Where you can just barely see that the screen is even lit. For me, I have to pull the battery in either situation. The most recent time this happened was during a text message. I turned screen off for a few seconds mid text message and when I went to turn it back on it was stuck with the dim screen.

- exact same as above. Did it in 1.0 and 1.5 both with fresh installs and no restore using titanium backup (haven't even reinstalled titanium)

Next time this happens do me a favor....

When you shut your screen off, does your button lights stay on?

This seems like a reasonable idea, everyone having this issue pleas try this...

Settings-->Liberty settings-->Free Memory--50mb-->reboot

I think we've all made it clear that we're having the same issue regaurdless of what we're running on the phone. Im runnig the stock liberty 1.5, it most frequently happens if i'm using the phone alot with text messages and frequent screen off and on.

Has there been any reported solution yet?

Sorry Kejar if I sounded like a jerk in that response. I just reread it and thought it may have sounded not as nice as I would have liked it. I just got sick of reading comment after comment of nothing.

It most frequently happens when using my messaging application, as that is the time where my display is going on and off the most. When I am playing games/using the phone for an extended period it doesn't happen.

So to rephrase my previous comment, the phone freezes/reboots when the screen is being turned on and off frequently.

Ex)send message, lockphone, receive message, unlock phone, reply to message, lock phone, recieve message, try to unlock phone, freeze reboot.

I don't use the Talk app frequently enough to know, just the messaging as far as I can tell.

I use the rotary lock already... it just looks way cooler.

If i didn't already mention this, I am not running any theme and it has the issue whether at stock or any other voltage.
