MattyP's .215 Leak Classroom

I've done the foxkat to my battery as instructed and it didn't seem to make much of a difference, I'm still lucky to get 12 hours on my battery with moderate to heavy use. Which don't get me wrong 12 hours isn't exactly horrible as compared to people having to charge their phones twice a day...but still I would like to have that comfort back that if i forget to charge my phone i can still get another day out of my phone.

I'm assuming the charges were while powered off, at least 5.5 hours, and the discharge was to 10% (MAXX on ICS)?
  1. Charge to 100% (with power off)
  2. Use to 15% (10% on ICS)
  3. Charge to 100% (with power off)

Yuup. I followed it exactly as posted. I'll try it again to see if it helps but I'm honestly starting to lose hope in ICS. if this doesn't help i'll def be going back to GB via custom rom. This battery issue is a big deal to me, i mean i bought this phone specifically because of the battery size. If i can't use it to its full potential (GB) then what's the point?

Oh and my bg data is still turned off yet i'm still receiving notifications via facebook. i even went through and disabled all syncing through accounts and syncing. I hate this OS...

And you are on .215? Wow. I have been nothing but thrilled with .215.

I sure am. Updated to 215 a few days after i got the stock ota update. I mean as far as performance goes coming from stock I'm happy it wasnt all that bad to begin with but this battery deal is seriously getting under my skin. I've had my phone about 3 months now so im right on time with my meter training.

OK, well let's see how this next training goes. I might suggest you boot to recovery and clear the cache first. Maybe even go to advanced and clear DALVIK.

Well I'll be doing my first run through the night. So should i clear my cache before i plug in? Or wait to see how it goes this time around?

Reading back through the thread I see there weren't any major issues whilst I was gone ... that's a good thing. Lots of satisfied customers! :)

Wow, I leave to mow my lawn and come back to a billion posts on this one thread. I got some catch up reading to do... But in my quick scan, I did notice MattyP made it back safely! Welcome home matty! We missed you!

So now I'm seeing Rescue Squad all over the place - good for you, MattyP! I've not yet tried your .215 leak, but clearly you have a lot of satisfied customers.

Glad to see you're back - you're also on my "most awesome" list....although I have to admit I find your avatar distracting. View attachment 53752
