Any time you do an upgrade like that an FDR is a good thing to start with a clean slate, just to make sure there are no conflicts or issues. I did 2 FDR's when I went to .215.

Ok, I used the 1.81 utility to go back to 211, then did FDR and then upgraded to 215 and did 2 FDR's and cleared cache. Just finished reloading all my apps. Will let you know how it behaves now. Thanks again for the assistance.

You will be rooted when this is done ... we can upgrade you to .215 later if you want ... that's the latest version. But let's get you rooted first. And don't disconnect the phone when it's done, we still have to install Voodoo and Bootstrap.

Did it say "Exploit Complete"?

If so, go back to the menu, and then select "Install Voodoo Rootkeeper App" ... I don't think it will reboot for that one.

If your phone is on .211, and your phone is not rooted, and you are just doing course #1, should take about 10 - 15 minutes tops after you put the .zip file on your SD Card and start the process.

And you need your phone to do it, you can't do it if hubs has your phone LOL :rofl3:

No, my husband was doing the upgrade for me as I cannot follow written instructions to save my life. :biggrin: He FINALLY finished with the upgrade and it's perfect and he said your instructions were excellent. (high praise, believe me!) He did say only one thing did not go the way the instructions said it would, but he said it was obvious what to do next so it was not a problem. Had it been me, you'd have had me camping in your front yard. (if it ain't in the recipe, it ain't in the pot!) Thanks so much for your "class"; here's to hoping for much better battery life for me!
