MattyP's .215 Leak Classroom

Thanks for the very easy to follow instructions! It was very painless i got a little worried when it was sitting on one step for quite a while, but it finally kept going. Now what remains to be seen is if i like out better, worse, or the same.

It should be smoother, and snappier, and you should see an improvement in battery life, that's the main things that were addressed in this leak. :)

Yeah, I'm waiting to do a FDR, if i don't see improvement, I'll go ahead and do that

In case you didn't see my earlier post, I am going to be gone for a few days, but there are plenty of people around here that are very knowledgeable about doing an FDR ... if you have questions just ask. There's also plenty of threads about it too. :)

I did an FDR and cache wipe after the ics ota, so i think I'll be ok on that. But thanks for the advise

No problem ... just do me a favor. After you have played with it for a few days, drop back in and report on your experience with it, both good and bad. :)

Ok kids, it's time to shut down this laptop and get it packed up for my road trip tomorrow. I will be gone for a few days, but if anyone has questions, ask away, there are plenty of peeps here who can help answer your questions. See you in a few days. :)

Remember, all you have to do is read the instructions! :p

Have a safe trip Matty! This is when we realize how much we really really need you! Hurry back and hopefully your ears won't be ringing to much because we are all screaming for .... "Matty, where are you?"

I haven't turned on my pc in over a month.....fear that diablo3 will take me over lol, I may have to try this from the phone download method.

I got a question about doing a wipe after you flash the .215 leak. If i was coming from .211 rooted and used the Voodoo Root Keeper, wouldnt doing a full wipe kill my Root Keeper? IF so, how would i be able to go back to root on .215?

I think you would go back to to root before doing a wipe. I have done a FDR on my rooted lg several times and it never wipes superuser. That's just my two cents. I don't know much about root stuff.

Tks

Steve

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum. I know you can go back to .211 from the .214 leak and I am pretty certain that same process works with the .215 leak. I will look around to find the information.
