Mediaserver Crushing my Battery

I've noticed my battery has been draining much faster than usual, so i brought up the usage stats and the number 1 item is 'mediaserver' at 22% (thats more than my display!). Anyone know what app this might be connected to or how to turn it the **** off? The only new meida app i've DL'd recently was iheartradio...guess that might be it.

mediaserver runs anytime you are playing any media on the phone. The power to run the speaker/earphones is where most of that battery drain goes, specially if you like to listen to it loud.

I've just had the same thing happen today(46%!). I listen to music a lot view videos and what not and this is the first time its happened. I've had great battery life until a few days and its never been an issue before. I need this problem resolved I'm having to plug up my phone two or three times a day
