MetaMorph themes for swype

I tried it on LithiumMod and it caused a bootloop just to pass on the information

I also tried with LithiumMod - no bootloop but also no Swype. Had to reinstall (again), Swype works fine with LithiumMod, just can't change the colors...:frown: stuck with blah grey.

after you moved swype and installed the MM theme,did you reboot your phone and enabled it by long pressing in empty text box,i find it hard to beleive that it wont work on a certain rom. if i wasnt to busy making a new swype theme id test this theroy out.

Really liking that Cyan theme, Sneaky! You hit that one on the head there...

Have you had any luck with modifying the gold one? I'd really like to sport that one on my phone, but it's just a tad too yellow. Can't wait to see what else you come up with!

i knew i was forgetting something,lol working on it now,theres a fine line between gold and yellow,its hard to find.

attached is a black with some what whiter keys,lol i cant seem to get rid of the glow effect,still learning,might have to start from scratch....

I cant seem to get it to work with the DE theme. After I move it to the /system/app folder and rename it to swype.apk metamorph says:


The theme control files says that we are looking for
/mnt/sdcard/androidthemes/Swype_DE/swype in this theme but it does not exist.

These are great! I black/cyan one would be cool to match the color scheme from cyanogenmod!

Yea, something super sleek and minimalist. Just clean white letters on a flat black background.

make sure you dont rename anything in the MM file, sometimes MM doesnt ectract all the files, with root explorer or mount your sdcard on pc and look to see if all the files got extracted

These LOOK fantastic! Which one is the link for black with white letters? Not a huge fan of the colored letters either...but those are super slick! Thanks for your obvious hard work and dedication.

I tried it again today using the black/red. This one is working great. I'm Swyping in color again!!! :icon_ banana:

on page 2 post #12 has the black with white keys,was able to remove the glow too. also posted black with cyan glow keys

So I tried the black with white keys......no dice.. meta morph gave me a control file error. I'm using the htc theme now and I used the same process as before so I don't believe its the rom. I looked at the xml file and it looked right to me.

fixed it, it was extracting a folder called swypeBlack it needs to be just swype, my bad. thats what i get by not testing before i post. looks threw my files,it looks as the DE one has same issue, has anyone tried it and had errors or did it apply ok..
