MetaMorph themes for swype

So I followed the instructions to a Tee (I think anyways) And installed it, renamed it etc. And I cannot get the swype to do the actual swype function. Like the version has expired. But I can still type on it. Ideas? Anyone else run into this?

are you using the legit swype beta or a hacked version and did you try to reboot

I wanted to change over to the black with white letters and am not getting it to theme the sype beta. I currently have black with blue letters, but wanted to run the black with white since I have Alternate Dark Theme running. It tells me that the theme is not there, and then cancels the apply. I noticed that the file is much smaller than the others. Any advise? Thanks!

yeah,it seems i compressed it wronge,try to download the file to your desktop and exract it on your pc,open up the extracted file to see if all files are there, if so then drag and drop the file into your sdcard under adroidthemes, then open MM and choose an excesting theme and find the already extracted file you just put on,ill see if i can uplaod a fix later but the work around should work.

guys I'm a bit lost maybe someone can help me out.. my /data folder is empty? if i go into /system/app i have all the .apk's of everything installed on my phone. (rooted droid 1 w/ 2.2) I never enabled apps2sd or anything. why don't I have .apk's in my /data folder?

Smokie, are you sure you are looking in data/app within root explorer, because that is very odd if your data folder is empty

as far as I can tell. tried 2 diff file managers.. astro and OI file manager. also, checked to see if my wife's droid has the same setup. her /data file comes up (empty) as well. I can't get the file managers to backup any further in the app file tree. it says clearly at the top of the app the file path is, "/data " usually I have no problems figuring stuff out. been playing around for 10 min now trying to see if somehow I'm not lookin at the right path.. can't figure it out ;[


hmm are the file managers i'm using capable of viewing the /data folder? I'm lookin the market at "root explorer" which is $3.99. it has a note about (is capable of of viewing the elusive data folder). ?

After you buy Root Explorer, every other file manager becomes obsolete

tparker, yah i def see what you mean.. the others i tried wouldn't view any of the files within that folder. I loaded the swype beta .apk that's floating around. is that the wrong swype version compared to what you are all running? mine says the trial period is over and wont allow the swipe feature to work. however the blue/black theme is badass. Do i need a diff version of swype?

i read like 15 pages and never saw anyone else ask. i am able to move the right file from the /data/app folder to the /system/app folder in order to get your swype theme'd kb's to work. i followed your older link for the themed handcents and would score major point with the wife if I can get the purple to work. i cannot move the com.handcent file to the /system/app folder. it says "you cannot paste here the file system is read-only. I have tried changing the permissions for the com.handcent file to make it both read and writeable, still doesn't work.. odd that I was able to move and rename the com.swype but not the handcent?
