What i meant was if someone could post the file that has to be renamed (com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk) and moved before applying themes. I have a legit beta version of swype and installed using the new september installer. When i went to move and rename the file using root explorer it wasnt in the /data/app folder. I just need that file to be in /system/app because thats where metamorph looks to apply the theme.
what phone are you using, you can just redownload it from the installer, theres days where i reinstall it from the installer 3 to 5 times a day,it is also on your sdcard under downloads. i beleive.

But to theme it i need the file com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk so i can rename it to swype.apk and move it to /system/app. When I do step 2(with a file manager like root explorer go into /data/app and find com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk) the file is not there. Cant u just copy ur com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk and post it so I can copy and rename it swype.apk, move it to /system/app and then apply the theme?

my swype will not work for you cause its registered to my device, your swype is there but must be named different, find anything that has com.swype.xxxxxx and move it, you should have 2,one will be the installer and other the app.

Take a look in Settings>Applications>Manage applications, go to the On SD Card tab and see if Swype is in there. If so, you need to "Move to phone" and then you will be able to find it in /data/app.
I've seen people mention something similar to this, but my /data/app folder is completely empty. Doing a search for swype only revealed the installer files. The terms inputmethod and com.swype return no results. The search included everything including the sdcard.
My swype is a legit beta directly from swype and has the newest update.

I'm using the rooted FRG22 based off the stock rom.
try to download the file to your pc and extract it before you move it to your sdcard under adroidthemes. for some reason metamorph is not extracting all of the files.Thanks for the help so far. I've found the file and have been able to follow all the steps. However, I'm running in to an error with MetaMorph.
It says that it is looking for a theme control file that is missing from (it goes by fast so I may not be right on this one) mnt/sdcard/androidthemes/swypeblackwhitekeys/swype
It has been extracted a couple times and I've attemped to reapply it and it continues to get the error. Should I try a different file or am I doing something wrong?

your welcome, i really need to fix that file but im not sure what went wrong with it lol.Extracting before I put it on the SD card worked. Thanks for all the help!
