I'm using the UD rom, and I put the black swype with red letters without any issues. Now I'm trying to put a black swype with white letters but when I use metamorph to do this, nothing changes. And it says something on metamorph in a little box but then fades away before I can read it. So do I need to restore my backup that had the stock swype or is there a way I can change the theme when its already themed?

I wonder if that is my problem too. I was using the nextheme swype fine, but then when I tried to change to the black with white letters, my swype deleted itself.

Also I'm doing the black with white letters.... here is my rundown of the steps I used.
1. made sure I had the most recent MetaMorph from the market
2 Used root explorer go into /data/app and find com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk
3 long pressed on the com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk and select moved it
4 to /system/app and select paste
5 long pressd on it again and selected rename, named it swype.apk (all lower case) then reboot phone
6 downloaded the color of choose to my pc
7 mounted my sdcard and placed the file in the adroid theme folder
8 opened up Metamorph and select unzip/extract new them
9 navigate to the swype.zip that you placed in android theme
but this message pops up: The control file says we are looking for /mt/sdcard/AndroidThemes/Swype Black_white_keys/swype in there but does not exist, Skipping
and then a pop up says: All Themes applied
10. I still rebooted the phone when its was done.
I think something is wrong with metamorph or my phone.... I've never had success running metamorph for some reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

as i posted a few post above, try to extract the MM file before you place it on sdcard, i think i zipped it up wrong and MM doesnt extract it right but it does work if you extract it before placeing it on sdcard. i reall need to fix the file,lol

im not sure i understand, are you saying i need to update the themes cause they are old or are you saying your happy now that you applied my theme cause the stock look was getting old@sneaky_zekey

OK, I need some help, because I really want to use this theme. I am on UD 1.0.0 on D1. I have swype installed, works fine. When I go into system/app with Root Explorer and change LatinIME.apk to swype.apk, I lose swype all together. Am I doing something wrong?

Look at posts 556 and 568. It says there. I changed the latinIME.apk to swype.apk and i was able to change my theme successfully.
I know when i did this, I had installed swype through UD settings first. Then followed the instructions to theme it (changing to swype.apk, rebooting, theming with metamorph, rebooting, etc). Since I themed swype, i have never tried to reinstall the stock keyboard, and i don't intend to anyway since swype is all i use.
