MetaMorph themes for swype

Ahhh yes, the imfamous Reboot!! LoL. I actually figured it out shortly after posting this. As you see, it was almost 1 AM, shouldn't be making mods tired and buzzed. Lesson learned. Thanks for the response, the black and red keyboard fits the overall UD 1.0.0 perfectly.

ok, i seem to be struggling with this for some reason....

i have a D2, swype preloaded, rooted, running tranquility 3.0, and i cant seem to figure out how to change my swpye keyboard....
when you say...
"navigate to the swype.zip that you placed in android theme( i think it automaticly opens in that directory) touch it and follow the prompts. when its done, reboot the phone."
do you mean in metamorph where it says...
Subtheme:swype.apk located in /system/app/....touch that and hit apply theme, or apply all before highlighting that.

im sure i am confusing the hell out of you guys, but as you can tell i am very new to android, so e gentle.
or do i navigate to it on my SD card?

thats correct, open up metamorph find the .zip file you placed on sdcard and extract it and apply all

i extracted it before i put it on the SD like was said in the earlier post. i have tried it both ways now and i cant get it to work....i will put the zip on and try again...im sure it it something wicked simple that im not doing..AHHHHHAHAHAHAHAH...btw..thnk you so much for getting back so quick

when i move swype.com from app/data to system/app...rename, etc...its the only thing in that file tht is a white folder...everything else is a green droid dude...is that correct too?

now that i look...i have one Swype.apk with a Droid dude and one just below it...the one that i renamed swype.apk is a white folder

when i move swype.com from app/data to system/app...rename, etc...its the only thing in that file tht is a white folder...everything else is a green droid dude...is that correct too?

i think your in the wrong folder, it will be in system/app or data/app. your using the droid 2 whick comes pre-loaded with swype. meaning its already in the system/app folder, just need to make sure its named swype.apk

that would take a lot of work,id have to redo the whole layout of swype to duplicate the stock keyboard layout. basicly build swype from scratch. if your just needing a black keyboard with white letters. i already have one of those posted

Yours didn't have the two tone black and chrome outline that I seen ?

Did I miss it somewhere in this huge post ?

I did look through most of it before I asked. I dont use swype all the time only when I type a larger email or on a blog. For quick replys I use the stock kb mostly but thanks anyways I can understand if you dont have time or would rather not.

EDIT: Is it just a matter of changing the images out if thats the case maybe I can do it myself using some of the images from the stock one im using now. Of would that not work ?

well the stock keyboard has individual images that make up the layout, swype pngs are full keyboard images, each layout you see(i.e the lower case, the capital letters, the numbers, the symbols) are all complete image, hopefully that makes since, but i think the black_white_keys.zip would match the bnb keyboard close.

Its solid black backing not what i was after thanks anyways.

Ill take one apart tommorrow and see if i can work on making one. Imsure it will be alot of work but i really want it match more closely. I will drop the chrome but i really want the twotone black on the keys.
