Missed Call for the Motorola Droid

I am testing this one myself too. So far it looks interesting. Lets see where time with it takes us. :p Nice Work by the Way !!!

In process of switching from Palm Treo to Motoroloa Droid. Lots of missing stuff, including proper notice of missed calls. This app is quite promising. Just started playing with it.

I'd like to be able to set the duration that the sound and vibration will play for first and repeat notices. (Or maybe the vibration plays only one "cycle," not sure.) I think the colored led flashing should not turn off after notice is silenced by pulling down the notification list. I think the led should flash until the notice is formally cleared. Only the sound and vibration should be silenced until repeat interval is up.

I'd also like to be able to silence the sound with a touch, either of the screen or of a hardware button, but I wouldn't be surprised if that accessibility is limited by the OS or HW, though there is an app out there that purports to silence the speaker by inverting the phone.

So far so good. thx, --emk

So far, I am impressed by this app. However, before it warrants a donation, I need to solve my problem:

I have a contact named Joe Bob (names changed to protect the innocent). Joe does not have a mobile phone, but he does have an email address, [email protected]. Joe does not use his email much, but when he really needs to get me a message, he sends it to <my number>@vtext.com, and I get an SMS message.

In my contacts, I have Joe Bob listed with an email address of [email protected]. When an SMS from him is received, the Messaging built-in app says the message is from Joe Bob. However, when Missed Call notifies me about the message, it says it's from unknown.

How can I fix this so it notifies me the message is from Joe Bob and plays the sound I configured for Joe Bob in the Missed Call app?

I tried the application last weekend, got it from the Market. Pretty neat, but not having any ability to specify rules for gmail and corporate email caused me to uninstall it. Any plans to add email support?

Just started tweaking it, should work great for me because I leave my droid in the truck on job site and occasionally look through window to check, now I know which color I need to grab it or not. Thanks

i like the app but i like my contacts to have different rings this takes that away im uninstalling unless some one tells me theirs a way

I noticed something weird, didn't know it had to do with the missed_call app. I had set a ring to a certain contact. then later today someone called, and the ring i had set to that contact went off - when it should not have.

I guess I'll be uninstalling it too. Since it doesn't support google voice, or gmail notifications, it is kinda worthless to me.... and the devoleper hasn't commented on the posts asking for this support.

SMS additions

I like the app so far. There are times when a friend will send an SMS message through their email account to [email protected]. This uses the "Default" notification setup for Missed Call and not the individual contacts settings.

I would like to see this implemented for the SMS portion as I do have a couple important contacts that send from email accounts to sms that I would like to deciper. One account is work and our network monitoring system sends these sms messages.

So far, so good for me :) Plus it was the first time I got to use my barcode scanner on a Droid code, so that was fun for me too lol.

different tones/led color setup

You can set different tones for different contacts
1. Hit call service..window should pop up saying general settings
2. Hit menu button on your phone (next 2 your home symbol)
3. A menu to add contacts should come up and will add to your general settings window.
3. Click on the add contact and setup whatever tone/color led available.
