MIUI Themed Icons

Did they change the ability to change these icons in the new release? I've changed them before by doing what was said in the OP but now the "customized_icons" folder is not on my phone.

That folder still exists, but there is a new, easier way to change your icons. Just apply a theme. I have created a theme from my icons. Just place in SD://MIUI/Theme/ and apply via Theme Manager.

im using the black ups (usp lol? idk haha) theme but some of the icons arnt themed (like the miren browser) and i wanted to change that

Modify the theme. It's so simple. Just add/replace the files in the .ZIP and push to your SD card.

If I unzipp it so I can see the icons via winrar once I replaced the icons with the ones I wanted and added a few more re-zipped put in the MIUI theme folder it didn't work. Is it because I used winrar and it made it a rar file and I renamed it .zip that caused it not to work?

Don't use winrar to rezip it. Just select all of the files you want to zip, right click and choose send to/ compressed zip file. That will create a .zip for you.

You can use WinRAR, but you have to select .ZIP as the archive format.

Gettin' a little better at putting these icons together. Spent a lot more time this time around to make a solid Photoshop template. I re-did the overall icon shape in vector, so the edges of the icons are now super-crisp. I also spent a lot of time working on apply-able effects, gradients, styles, backgrounds, borders, masks, etc -- so making a professional-looking icon with my template takes only seconds! (I made 165 icons in about 4 hours) There are also additional templates inside of this template that allow you to easily make folder icons (2 separate styles), contact icons, chat bubble icons (2 styles), Android system icons, Adobe-style icons, etc. 90% of the new content you see in here are my creations done entirely from scratch, so everything is all-around more closely stylized. Have fun, and please share any icons you make with the template!
