[MM Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" for ESE81 Pure Stock Rooted Droids

Oh, that's easy, I can post one png file and all you have to do is move it to a specific theme folder.

Let me know when you are ready and I will edit and post the image file.

i thought changing the clock to white required editing the services.jar and therefore couldn't be done on stock root (w/o deodex)?

Any chance you'd consider doing a MM theme for the new deodexed stock 2.1 that was just put out?

Since my themes basically change just the image files, it should work the same on the deodexed stock 2.1......if you try it please let me know how it works.

I was thinking a white clock so the workaround wasn't necessary.

Just copy the file attached below to your SDcard AFTER you unzip the "Black Glass" Theme... it should go to /AndroidThemes/928DroidBG/framework-res/res/drawable-hdpi and replace the file of the same name as the one attached below.

What are the steps to get the market to update and operate as usual? The steps are all spaced out on the thread and pretty hard to keep up with, thanks...

Also, can I just copy the stock apps to my PC to keep them incase I want to reinstall them?

Step 1: Download my MetaMorph "MarketFix.zip" attached below and copy it to the AndroidThemes directory on your SDcard.

Step 2: Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications - Scrolldown and find the "Market" and uninstall (should say uninstall updates).

DO NOT open the Market again, I know you are curious but don't do it!

Step 3: Open MetaMorph, unzip "MarketFix" and apply the theme. It will ask you to reboot when finish, slelect yes to reboot.

Step 4: After reboot, open the Market to confirm it is OK, you may need to sign in with your Google account and/or accept the agreement again, this is normal.

Step 5: After you confirm the Market is working correctly again you can re-theme as usual with my themes (no promises on others) and not have any problems.

Also, can I just copy the stock apps to my PC to keep them incase I want to reinstall them?

Yes, as long as you know how and remember to set premissions correctly if you add them back. BUT, a simple Nandroid backup is easiest.

Hey for some reason i clicked the download link for the pulsar battery icon on the first post, and i go to apply it and it gives the error message, then i got to apply it normally and the file metamorph unzipped is empty? also wud it be possible to change the colors on the power widget? but make separet colors per section, like screen brigthest be white, gps red, bluetooh bluem and wifi green? i dont know if its possible but that wud be really cool, or if u cud just make the power widget red instead of green thatd be fine too...

Thanks! That worked perfectly!

I spent hours trying to hunt down a just a simple metamorph mod to change the status bar black and give me white text. Anything I found was for the older version of MM and didn't work. Really happy to get this theme working with a white clock :)

Woodyman posted up a deodexed, but otherwise completely stock ROM.

I went ahead and edited my services.jar file to make the clock white. It was an interesting experience. Followed this tutorial: [HOW-TO] Change status bar clock color - xda-developers

For the life of me I can't get the command line to recognize "java" as a command... change environment variables path, reinstalled jdk, etc...

EDIT quite awhile later... So I got it to work - some finicky stuff with jdk on my pc, but got it to work. Man that's a lot of trouble to change such a small thing! :) The one issue I'm having since doing this is it's constantly showing me at 5% battery... :( Tried reboot w/ battery pull, but no fix yet.

ok, here's what i'm looking at - i downloaded the latest zip for the main theme, as well as the zip for the pulsar battery - both from the first post for "black glass", and this is what it looks like (i also did what blackandtan did with the clock)... this is what i was looking at earlier today as well on the pure stock root (non-deodexed)... i've gotta be missing something dumb b/c your screenshots don't look like this

edit: also using the status bar background png you posted for blackandtan

Run this small MM Patch theme for Deodex :-) Fixes Battery Status, Signal Strenght and Alarm Clock Notification Icons for "Deodex White clockers". :)

hey 928droid, the link u posted for the fixed status bar and pulsar battery does not seem to work, well the link works but when i download it and open it in metamorph it gives me the file control error, and also has no readable files in it when i do go to it in metamorph

EDIT: got it to work, really strange i just downloaded it again this morning and it worked, go figure...but it is not animated like the image u have posted on the first post, nor does it have those blue circles around it
