Are you able to use Metamorph Pro off the Market? I would think if it's rootable, you could use this as this applies to a stock root... but I don't really know for sure.
Let us know if it works, that would be great info!
BTW, I would start with the "framework-res.apk" sub-theme first and see how it does.
You could apply one sub-theme at a time and check each app for issues.
Like I said please keep us posted on what works and what doesn't.
Also if you can send me a ROM dump of your system, or just copy off each app I have listed in Post #1 that is themed, I can take a look at them when I get the time.
my attempt to retheme launcherpro to go with this theme... looks ok big, but hard to read small - should've used different font for the main icons probably
Added "APK" Theme Version - Full version apks themed/transfered via MetaMorph. (Clean versions of all Themed apps will clean up apks from previous theming etc.)
Added "Black Glass "theming to Google Maps & Navigation (update 4.2.0) and Latitude Widget
Added "Black Glass" theming to Calender app and widget
Added "Black Glass" theming to Facebook app and widget
New Enhanced Icons for 2.1 DeskClock, also changed app name to deskclock.apk (be sure to update old apk names)
Enhancements and colors changes to Music.apk

Just updated to 1.8, not sure if this was mentioned before but in the Power Control widget, the brightness selector on the right, the green line that appears when then brightness is turned on extends beyond the length of the widget just a smidge.
