Moto Z Getting Oreo "In a Few Weeks"

Long ago I signed up for soak tests and I seemed to get everything early.
This time I'm worried [emoji45]. We'll see. Send that mojo my way.
I'm sure the Play will get it. Probably next....

I'm betting you'll be getting yours in the very near future. I can't imagine then leaving Play out. Look at it this way, you have more time to watch the reactions of others who've received it to decide if you truly want it. There may be bugs...

Everyone is so quiet today. For those who installed yesterday, now that you're on Day 2 with Oreo, what are your thoughts?

For me, it's just "OK". Nothing spectacular. Here are my initial thoughts.

Likes:
* Being able to quick toggle the Moto Mod battery On / Off
* The new Launcher 3 option to Change Icon Shape (I like the Squircles option)
* The new Icon Dots to show there is something new within that app
* The new lockscreen clock
* The new lockscreen quick reply and other new options, without ever unlocking the phone
* The newly designed Settings menus (once you figure out how things are grouped together & get used to it)

Dislikes:
* Battery life is not good. But then again is it ever good on any .0 version? It always seems to be better on the .1 version. I know that I should do a FDR and start over fresh, but after reading all the posts about the Z Play battery life on 8.0 even after a FDR I don't know if all the time & effort will help much.
* The new all white / light Notification panel.
* The new Time & Weather widget that replaced Command Center.
* The new Battery stats Settings screen & menu.
* The media volume always "resets" itself back to a system default volume after disconnecting from Bluetooth when music is paused.

A lot of Sajo's list I can't comment on but so far overall I like it. I'm not crazy about the drop down menu either. As far as battery life goes, give a few days and I'll let you know. I didn't do a FDR either. I did clean the system cache and battery life seems the same so far. Time will tell. I haven't tried my BT headphones yet but thanks for the heads up on the volume controls. I'm running Nova and I'm very customized so I can't speak on the icons or the command center. That's all I got for now. We'll see what else comes up.
