Oh sorry for not elaborating. The Droid 1 hasn't received an update in over a year, and is a flagship phone that really saved Motorola. They didn't support it post-release, while phones made 1-2 years prior are now running on the same version of Android as the Droid 1.
The only thing that saved the Droid are 3rd-party coders like Pete who, as a part time coder, is able to beat Motorola. It really shows how much interest Motorola has in supporting their devices.
By the way, most people sign into a 2-year contract. 4 months of software support is offensive. Apple actually has most of their phones running their latest version of iOS, which makes it much more appealing. But if I stick with Android I'd probably go Nexus or HTC since they actually support their devices. Motorola has a record of this type of behavior.
Yeah, I'm still not sure I would buy another Motorola made phone myself, but I just don't see where you have been. The Droid is even running a newer version of android than most phones out there. Most are still on 2.1 or 2.2.1. The Droid just got an update to 2.2.2. Only 2 devices have a newer version, the Nexus 1 and the Nexus S. Now, the Droid is starting to reach the end of it's life because of hardware limitations, so I doubt it will actually get another MAJOR update, but the fact it got an update several phones haven't received says a lot.
He's just continuing his babble about some non-existent Droid fiasco. It got a lot of laughs a couple of pages back.
