Motorola Droid Bionic Release Date?

Worth noting, in a tech-investing blog linked in another thread, says that the bionic would delayed till may, citing supply/parts cost problems resulting from the current crisis in japan.

However this same tech blog also says the Xoom has "strong early demand" and the atrix is doing "robust business"...... While BGR is saying that the Xoom and atrix sales are "disappointing" ... Now it's hard to trust the first tech blog , when BGR is saying something directly contradictory on the other moto products' sales performance, and when neither of them is claiming a direct source from Moto/Verizon with a confirmed release date. That said, it certainly seems plausible that japan's current problems are causing a short term component price increase and component supply shortage... both of which could easily push the release date back, especially while rumors of dual core/LTE incompatibilities still flying around...

Really hope moto can get it together for an April release.... nearing 5 months on a BB-Storm after my droid died...So tempted to hop on the Tbolt wagon....

oh god no man stay the course, don't fall into the TB pit. I am dealing with a storm as well but soon enough the "storm" will be over and we will have our bionics in our hot little hands. I still have a hard time trusting something that isn't straight from Moto or VZs mouth and not quoted second/third hand or speculation.

I remember waiting and waiting for my wife to give me the OK on the original Droid (which I still use all the time, BTW). Now I'm getting NPAS* all over again. Especially since my daughter just got her new phone (iphone 4 - boo hiss, she's hard headed).
The Bionic sounds pretty awesome. Is it the same size screen as the Droid X? My other daughter's b/f has one and I love the screen size.

I believe it is abit larger. Maybe though not sure on the x's screen size.

The leaked Verizon roadmap just lost some credibility today. I could not find the Samsung Charge or the Casio Commando and they were on the chart for 4/7/2011.

April, please!

Now that several aspects of the roadmap have failed to come to fruition (X2 not 4G, no Commando or Charge on the 7th), I'm falling back on earlier rumors and holding out hope for an April release.

I'm on a friend's Storm 1 because my second Storm 1 was completely useless and I'm past my warranty...I'm getting by for now but it's time I got a real phone.

At my Verizon store they put me on a call list, so when they hear anything they're supposed to call me. They did the same thing with the TB and were calling people when they heard on the 15th of March. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

Same here.Really wanted bionic but after all the talk and no videos of bionic leds me to think somethings not rite.Just read the EVO 3D is gonna release b4 bionic even Samsung Charge will b out soon.And now VZW is stoppin 1yr contracts,I better stay put and keep my premium status and b able to upgrade every year and unlimted everything.Its not LTE but I can live with that at about 95.00 a mth.

I agree. Unless the S2 actually comes to VZ, Bionic is the best thing coming for a while until the quads come out.
