Motorola Droid Bionic Release Date?

It's only 2 extra months...we will have to survive!Well that is a disappointment. I don't think I can wait that long.
That is what I am saying there is no one here worst then me.. i gave up my DX to my wife and am now using A Blackberry Storm 1... I have been suffering with reboots and miss phone calls.. I am going to wait for the Bionic.. If you guys can hold out. i do not think you will be disappointed.. The ones that will be disappointed is the ones who could not wait and jumped to the TB...
When it is released and we get the full specs I believe some people will be upset...

No, I'm pretty sure the people who will be dispointed are the ones with a locked bootloader.

That's where you are wrong. I do not care about a lock boot loader.. I do not plan to or wish to root my phone... By the way just like the DX it will be broken once of the guys before the month is out after its released for those who want to root it...

That's where you are wrong. I do not care about a lock boot loader.. I do not plan to or wish to root my phone... By the way just like the DX it will be broken one of the guys before the month is out after its released for those who want to root it...
for me rooting is like having a different phone anytime u want it.. that's why I'm still not tired of my d1 and am willing to wait for a phone w all the features I'm looking for including an open boot loader..i have been favoring the bionic but time will tell

Man people really do buy into the Hype. People are wondering why no one preordered the tb maybe because is a tweaked evo single core garbage htc phone. It has a regular display on top of everything. So what it does not have a locked bootloader is that the only reason you will purchase the tb brick? How about growing some brain cells and realizing the real stuff is coming soon stop wasting your upgrades on a evo crap. Good things come to those who wait. For all the suckers out there go get ripped off by BB and HTC some more. Preorder a phone that no one wants no wonder people at BB have no idea what you are talking about ROFL

Brain cells have nothing to do with it. When the D1 came out it was "top of the line" and was considered the "real phone". Look at it now, a year later going strong with half the specs of the new phones coming out. Overclocking it to 1ghz and slimming the system to free up RAM let's you do what you want with it. And hey guess what? What do the new phones have? Faster processor and more RAM. Who woulda thought? There isn't anything obsolete about the TB, its just refined with the tech it has. And with the unlocked bootloader it will get OS updates long before the next real phone."

I would not say that the TB is Garbage. It is a pretty good phone. Just not for me. No matter how they say it is is an upgraded EVO4G. It will be outdated before the end of 2011. I have not heard one way or the other that the TB was locked or unlocked. If there is an article please post it. It will be the best phone out until the Bionic is released!!!

Unlocked bootloader isn't the only reason I'm getting the thunderbolt. If you look at the quadrant scores the tb get about 19xx and the bionic get about 22xx so it's not that much slower. Is 300 quadrant scores points worth a FM radio, 256 mb ram, 24 gb storage, a kickstand, sense ui (blur less
), better front cam, and a unlocked bootloader?Plus with the unlocked bootloader I bet we will see the tb overclocked and get quadrant scores of 3000+. Then who will have the fastest phone? :icon_ banana:
Of course the bionic has some advantages like a qHD display (I personally don't care), HDMI port, and of course dual core.
I'm not saying the bionic is a bad choice but I don't think I'm stupid for going with the tb. If both the thunderbolt and the bionic was released the same day I would still get the thunderbolt

Sure the bionic will be rooted but there still will be limits without the unlocked bootloader. Just take a look at the hacking sections of this forum. The droid X/2 hacking looks sad when you compare to the OG droid hacking.
If you want to hack your phone I believe the thunderbolt will be the better phone.

Most of that is speculation on the bionic end... Plus No one has proven that the Thunderbolt will not have an locked boot loader. If you have proof please show me. You can not put up specs on an unfinished phone. Some of the stuff he put up was incorrect but it was very well done.

True, but if it's locked I'll probably hang on to my OG droid for awhile long and hope for something better. If both have a locked bootloader and I had to choose one or the other I'd probably still take the tb because it has some features I really want that the bionic doesn't have. Speed isn't every thing you know
Remember the nice thing about android (and linux in general) is choice. If you like the bionic better then get it.
