Q2=Apr-June. Rumors floating around say June but with the Atrix dropping on 2/22 let's hope for something sooner...

Uhh… I think this thread has gone completely off topic. I have been checking a thread about the release date for the Bionic and for the past few weeks, it has become a debate as to which phones can be rooted.

I'm not looking to root my phone, in fact I didn't know what a locked bootloader was until this thread came about.

All I want is to throw my Storm 1 at something. I run a program that simulates a battery pull daily and it still gets bogged down.

My patience is wearing thin. I will soon have a temporary solution, though… my boss is getting an i4 and he's going to give me his D1… that way I can wait patiently for the Bionic to come out and I can even wait to see reviews of the Bionic vs the i4 (or i5 when it comes out), the X2 (if it really exists), the TB, etc, etc…...

I was really REALLY close to throwing my Storm 1 at the wall too. I was averaging 5 battery pulls a day. How it actually survived is amazing to me, because I hated every moment of owning that phone. I bought the Droid 1 and then HTC Incredible and gave the Droid 1 to my wife. I'm pretty sure the next phone I get will be the Bionic and I'll give my rooted Incredible to my wife. Doubt I'll buy the Bionic at first, but I am watching this thread to see when it comes out so I can go play with it in the store ;-)

OK. Here's the situation... I currently own a Droid Incredible and I'm only 8 months into my two year contract. I've been playing with a Galaxy Tab for the past few days and realized what I really want - a phone with a bigger screen.

Can I get rid of my Dinc and upgrade to a Droid Bionic without losing my shirt? :-/

Trade it in to VZW or better yet, sell on eBay/Craigslist. You'll still have to pay retail for the DB when it comes out but at lest you'll have some money from selling the Dinc.
