Motorola Droid Case Reviews

Really like my Suede Jacket from WaterField. Feels like commando, but keeps it from getting scratched and I can use it to get the smudges and gunk off my screen.

Good point. The Droid is my first touchscreen phone and I HATE smudges. That's a problem since I'm apparently a very oily guy. The Waterfield case eliminates the need to carry a microfiber cloth with me wherever I go. :icon_ banana:
Well, not having a life I've spent much of the last 24 hours trying to streeeeetch the Waterfield case to accommodate my new Seidio case. I can report that it IS possible to get the phone w/ case in and out of the sleeve. It is NOT, however, a task I look forward to on a regular basis. And so far at least a caller could not only leave voicemail but send me a letter through via USPS before I'd have the case off to answer the phone.

So while Waterfield notes that the ultrasuede has "stretch memory," I suspect it won't work on an ongoing basis with my Seidio case.

BTW, haven't seen this mentioned in the thread, but Waterfield also has a small "travel case" marketed for the iPhone. It looks to be perfect as a case for the Droid, as well.

Amzer Rubberized Snap-on Crystal Hard Case (the name needs work :))

here's some really bad pics of a really good case. i had the body glove and it fit like crap, the top piece was very flimsy while the bottom was impossible to remove. i love this one. scratch resistant

hmm yeah it looks to be the same one. i got mine from fommy.com. i honestly havent had any issues with it popping off like the reviews stated. and the finish is great, maybe some earlier versions? i can scratch the rubberized coating with my finger nail and rub it right out!

what i hated about the body glove was that the left side of the top piece was very flismy as it wasnt actually clipped to the phone. this one actually hugs all corners of the phone so its secure, yet easy to take off in a few seconds.

here's a youtube video on it, from fommy:

I loved the casemate I had for my Storm. It wasn't a hard case though, it was a rubbery skin. But as long as they make all their cases with similar quality then it is probably a nice case.

Hey guys, Im new here, so Hi.

I just wanted to share my Droid cover that I just got. Its called the Amzer Rubberized Hard Case and I got it from Fommy.com along with the Zagg invisible shield. The price was reasonable for both. And after looking for a while, Fommy had the best selection (althhough mostly Amzer products) I saw.

The first site there is the Fommy.com page for the case, and the second is a youtube clip made by Fommy of the actual cover. I found it helpful bc it gives a good image of it and how it goes on.

Ive heard people say that they had trouble with this cover because it wouldnt stay on (the top cover kept falling off for some reason). I cant speak to this arguement bc i have had no troubles whatsoever with that, it stays on securley in my pocket and even though it says its "rubberized" it doesnt create any trouble for me going in and out of pockets. What i especially like about the cover is that the keyboard is still very easy to use and doesnt cut off the top buttons at all, nor does it block the sensors or any other ports. Overall Ive been very pleaseed with this cover having it for a couple weeks now. Glad I got it. My plan was to use the invisible shield and also have the cover on that, but Im not sure. I dont want the phone to weigh a ton.

hope this helps people.

Cheers!

looks like that amzer faceplate covers the proximity sensor.. isn't it in the top left-hand corner (holding the phone portrait, not landscape)?

So far ive had my droid about 2 weeks. My first case I ordered was the gel 2 piece case from verizon, i believe it comes in pink and black. The case had a nice feel to it and you have access to everything even the slide out kb but it makes hitting the upper row of keys a chore for me ( fat hands). I was gonna learn and deal with this but after I got my multimedia dock you cant use that case on your droid with that dock and Im sure any other dock for that matter so for what i need, I just couldnt use it. Should have my car dock today so i get to play with that. Still searching for the right case for my use.

Sam,

Thats strange. In the video it shows that the prox sensor is covered. But on my cover it is not covered. There is a square cutout for it. Not sure why the video shows otherwise. Hope that helps.

sounds like your work for Fommy lol. but yeah the case i received has a cutout as well for the sensor

Following mbeatle's lead (his post is here, I just received a cheap ($10) ebay case from seller zydistro. Fits, and looks, just fine. The packaging says it's a Luxmo, model CRMOTA855BK.

It looks like this is the same as the one described by pjone1.
