No it's just that the name changed, the device this thread talks about is no longer called the droid pro it's under a different name but the specs are still what is being discussed here.

it was thought that the Pro was going to be the 2 ghz 4.3" monster phone. but, it looks like the Pro is the same thing as (or is the nickname for) the D2 WE, and will not be the 2 ghz "monster phone." little is known about the A957. because Sanjay Jha avowed that Moto would release a 2 ghz super-smartphone by the end of the year, and since Nvidia supposedly has orders for a couple million units of its Tegra 2 (see posts 444 and 451), the belief/hope is that the A957 may be the 2 ghz monster. no specs have been leaked from any sources (as far as i know) regarding the A957. but, again, there is hope that this will be the monster phone.

Hmmmm....VZW said a few LTE handsets would be available in Q1. I have a tough time imagining this monster, if still in the works, wouldn't be LTE.:icon_ banana:

correct A957 is not the "Super Phone" Here's CK's prediction. The A957 is the R2D2 phone : )

I know this is a Droid Pro forum, but I've been reading about the rumors of the HTC Merge lately for Verizon. What do you guys think of this phone coming out in November?

Sounds like it's supposed to be really beastly! :
10 megapixel camera
1+Ghz processor (most likely dual-core)...
PROBABLY Android 2.2

No other information so far from what I've read. Could be a great phone! What do you guys think?!

Yea its gonna be a nice phone. I might take a long look at it; me getting it depends on the gpu, reception and LTE.
