Mmmmh...something tells me Droid Pro ain't all what it's cracked up to be. With countless of reading and putting the puzzle pieces together, I can't help but think the Droid Pro is only "a step in the middle" to the 2Ghz monster.

D1: Born (released) Nov of '09 - Died August of '10 *sniff*

Di came out not too long after that.

then a small coffee and smoke break later...

DX cradled our fancies for a mere what? month or so?

then shah-BAM! we got ourselves: D2

i see tech cattle. droid burger anyone? :)

There actually is a phone that can make you coffee. No I'm not joking Pomegranate | NS08

wow lol, this cant be real... I guess i learn new things every day, just didnt expect it to be this.

errr you know that pomegranate phone is a joke right?

in two years the way technology is going they may. but at some point its going to have to Plato i thing a 2ghz processor is pushing it maybe a dualcore 1ghz or 1.5 but 2 is high for a phone. their going to have to balance battery life and power demands. and with how slow battery tech is moving i thing we will reach a peak or see phones with horridness battery life

Exactly, technology may be making leaps and bounds, but it kills me that I have to charge my phone atleast twice a day!

Does anyone know if there are any better after market batteries out there?

Curiosity killed the cat, but what does it profit a man if he refuses to try?

This is way overkill, but dude, you totally need the Energi to go xp18000. Lol im sure the xp4000 would do wonders but what fun is it if you cant overkill.... :icon_ banana:

My guess is if anything, the 2.0 ghz processor will be on the Motorola tablet listed on Verizon's roadmap. The only rumors I've heard for the droid pro indicate keyboard, 1.3 ghz, and no lte.

Droid Pro seems a little disappointing to me. I didn't really believe 2ghz, but I certainly wanted to.

My next phone will be LTE period. I won't be burning my early upgrade on anything less.

QFT. DroidPro is a flop in comparison to what it aught to be and should be for the holidays.

Enough evolution and more revolution, Motorola. If you don't then others will and leave you in the dust.

There is a 3d party battery that uses lithium sulfur insted of lithium ion.

It's an interesting strategy Moto is taking. They appear content to unveil a new phone every few months with just minor upgrades. Completely opposite how Apple does it.

I understand the desire to have multiple products to appeal to a larger base, but c'mon!!! Whereas Apple has been very successful creating buzz and demand around it's annual releases, Moto seems to be capitalizing on the need for the latest and greatest, eventhough from 1 phone to the next it's very marginal.

I have to believe it's a push to capture new smartphone users, given VZW's already massive network and popularity of Android, Moto wants to make sure it has the best product available at all times.

Plus, from a pure profitability standpoint, you don't release the end-game phone even if you could. You just want to be placed a little better than the competition, not a phone that no one will need or want to upgrade for years.

Most iPhone users are Apple zombies. If Jobs says to buy it, they buy it. That is why one phone works for them. Regardless of how poor it is in regard to being an actual phone and how terrible the AT&T network is when outside main metro areas.
