Motorola, Verizon announcing 'next generation of Droid' on June 23 - [Engadget]

One of the main reasons I left RIM behind was their poor Q and A. RIM kicks out a new device every otther week and feeds the consumer the same old rehashed equipment.

I won't support a company who cheats the consumer out of quality materials and workmanship so that they can make a buck.

I feel HTC runs their company the same way. Release 18 different phones a week and skimp on quality. People are paying good money for the EVO and the screen is coming apart. That's inexcusable.

I can't support company's who practice business like this.

Like I said, I've read about all sorts of problem across several of their phones, it's just pathetic that that many phones can have such problems, every time engadget or gizmodo post one of these problems, it causes people to think android is the problem.

Bad news: HTC says the Nexus One doesn't 'go in pockets' -- Engadget

Their last 3 big phones, all afflicted with major problems.

Lets hope Motorola continues on the right path because right now their build quality is stellar.

I think stellar hardware is just as important. But that's just my opinion :)

I've dropped my phone countless times on concrete, and keep my keys and change in the same pocket as the phone, scratches on the screen are almost invisible.

Browser privacy issue with DROID Incredible and HTC Sense UI widget?

Don't forget about this...:icon_ nono2: they're indeed giving android a bad name.

I will admit that the Droid is SOLID. Even the Devour I messed with for a few minutes felt solid. It was much lighter and a bit bulky but felt like it was built very well. I know people who used RAZRs for YEARS and my father always had motorolas because they would put up with his abuse. The Droid is my first Motorola but I plan to keep getting them as long as they keep going in the same direction.

I have been thinking the same thing recently seeing the cpu HTC chose for the Inc. and the EVO. They have a deal to use Snapdragons, fine. I'll let the Inc. slide, but they coulda picked a lil bit better Snapdragon for the EVO, especially with it having a bigger screen, 4G...

And especially with the Inc and the EVO coming out after the Droid. They were supposed to try to hit a homerun with the internal parts. They didnt. America's 1st 4G phone has the exact same cpu as the Inc? It coulda got treated a lil bit better by HTC...
