If you are not a fan of Motorola's CEO, Sanjay Jha, or just find that some of his "leadership" has been questionable, then you will be unpleasantly surprised to know that he made $47 Million dollars in compensation in 2011. This was almost four times the $13 Million he made the previous year of 2010. Apparently, the reason for the big pay bump was because of Mr. Jha's successful splitting of Motorola into two companies last year to form Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions.
This information was revealed in a regulatory filing that was required to help make sure the $12.5 Billion dollar acquisition of Motorola by Google goes through. Currently the only thing slowing it down is that it is being reviewed by the Chinese government, who actually extended their investigation timeline even further last month.
