Motorola's New Flagship is called the Moto X

Thanks for the post CK, but I'm jumping on the Negative Nancy bandwagon, too. Not that the news is bad, just nothing to get excited about yet. I suspect this whole thing is creative marketing more than innovative engineering.

Isn't that what Google has been saying that Google Now is working toward? Mine kind of already does...

I agree with the others... isn't this pretty much what all the multi-core processors do now? Isn't this like the V8 cars that shut down some cylinders when you're not getting on it? Not quite new or innovating.
Can't say I blame people for being negative, being burned so many times tends to do that to people. Hopefully the phone will deliver and I think in todays climate Moto knows what's at stake. We'll find out soon enough....

Moto? maybe not. Google seems to know though. i would say this would be an epic failure if they did not have to answer to the Google Gods

Listen to the D11 Talk. Motorola is well aware....I'm pretty excited to see what they have in store for the future. It should be pretty impressive. Doing "crazy stuff" and "rethinking the phone" should produce some fascinating product(s)

Samsung for life... Thank you Moto for my DX experience.. I have a new love in my life.. Lol

I do hope they knock it out the park.. Keep the completion on it's toes..

Noted 2x~4 beta

Whose to say that this isn't still part of moto's 18 month pipeline? Chances are, Google had little to no input on this device.

I don't care how many processors it has, if it comes with thier crappie camera, it's a fail.

they had said there was one more straight Moto phone coming down the pipeline, everything suggests that would be the mid-range phone showing up for testing now. This new flagship will most likely be the first Moto designed under Google, which means Google will want to really impress with it's launch

Sounds intrusive ..but hopefully in a good way....I like that the price point will be low..but as usual...until someone does a tear down, we won't known what that price really is...

I'm just going to lay this right here. This phone just MAY turn out to be groundbreaking, dare I say nothing we have ever seen. Google?s Moto X Phone Will Spy On You - Business Insider

Thank for the info. Sounds like Google Now and Smart Actions on steroids and had a baby....

Specs are getting meh now a days....features are gonna be what sets companies apart. Moto still has a way to go to try to match or keep up with Samsung's features. This will be interesting when it comes out. I stay a fan of Moto for the reception...so everything else is a bonus.

^love his rant about the xphone. Though it is a few weeks old think it still applies. Because in the end some of the rumored features will be just rumors. Looking forward to seeing what google come up with.

That rant was funny....but thats life in Rumorville....it happens with just about every phone, software, game console, ect. His rant can apply to every super duper Android, WP, iPhone, ect phone rumor over the past few years.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with imagining. When I had my og droid imaging a phone with a bigger screen and a dual core processor. I now have a note 2 that is quad core, 5.5 inches, and come jam packed with a lot of features. But it took awhile for us to go from og droid to note 2. I think as tech evolove we will see some of the things we dream of but we have to keep in mind that as big as our eyes are manufacturers have to make something that will sell. If they load it with every feature known to man they would have to price it as such and only a few will be able to buy a phone priced that high. So they have to make a device at the avg customer's price threshold while making sure it is competitive. The more oems who throw their hat in the bucket the more innovation along with competitive price wise. It is why I quietly root for apple (minus the stupid patent suits), windows, and different oems to succeed. Their success helps further innovation and make it more likely for us to see some of our dream features in future devices.
