Much simpler guide for rooting (no pc required)

I'm running 2.3.20 and get access denied running rage*.bin

I had 2.2 and was rooted, updated and lost root

The update removes root access, you have to re-root.

while running the ragebin I get access denied.

Did you re-run all of the steps you used to root? Chmod, setup debug mode, etc?

Not me, I like using the unix command line.

Yes, the method from the OP still works. I just did it the other day on my D2.

I did my droid2 manually download 3 sets files it was easy if you cant find it anywhere else let me know I think I still saved all the stuff

I picked up the z4root and rooted successfully. If something ever happens to this app though and I need to unroot, can it be done without it?
