My location settings

Currently, there are three setting services. I only have the google turned on for maps and yelp.

1) Google Location Services (turned on currently)
2) Standalone GPS servers
3) VZW location services

What is the difference? Do you have to pay for #2 and #3? Is have 2 or 3 on more accurate or do they consume most batteries?

No you don't have to pay for any extra fees for them.
1. So if you search Google can find what's around your area.
2. GPS location
3. I believe for connecting to tower.

Why would anyone use #3? Isnt GPs always more accurate than tower/

GPS also sucks up alot more battery. It's also hard to locate a satellite if you're indoors especially in a big building.
