Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

I was gonna hold of until LTE devices.... but a year has been a long time with one device... I need a new toy.

Same here I upgraded four days before my one year anniversary with my droid. Lol
I said before that if no definitive news was to be out by last Friday I would upgrade then but I could not wait any more. Too much anticipation for this phone. So I upgraded on wednesday. I can still return this phone if I so choose.

Not sure about the annual upgrade. I do know that the annual upgrade on a 2yr contract is only good for the primary line. I have 3 lines and one of em was due Nov 15th but they'll bump it up 30 days if you order over the phone. If call em and ask about the annual upgrade to be sure.

How does one get this annual upgrade on the primary line? I've heard a lot about this but would like it cleared up. Fyi I used my moms upgrade last november to get my droid. On our account it says that she is due for an upgrade in july of '11. Hope this helps.

Even an ANNUAL upgrade? Which is already significantly earlier than the NE2?

hmmm so if i get a new phone once a year, should i do a one year contract or the two? I know some on this forum have said that they have gotten the two year price on a new phone half way through their two year contract. It would be cheaper, but i know how big red is greedy about giving out the upgrades. Decisions, decisions...

I've never used an annual upgrade in a 2yr contract but many people go 1yr contracts just for that reason. I have no plans to change carriers so I always sign 2yr contracts. I have connections to get phones at contract prices at certain times of the year so it's rare that I use upgrades.

I never rooted my phone. or ever done it before, but what happens if you did it wrong and it kills your phone. what next?

If you've completed one year of your 2yr contract on the PRIMARY line of the account then you can upgrade it. Call customer service and they can handle it for you.

anyone know if this phone will have gorilla glass? My biggest concern with a phone this big is fitting it in my pocket (compare with my current BB Pearl) and breaking the screen.
