Yeah, don't download any kind of task killer. Good apps I would say are, SetCPU, BattStatt I like personally, Titanium Backup, Cache Cleaner, Quick System Info, Drocap2, Temp+CPU Pro, DroidForums app of course, eBuddy for IM, DroidLight, xScope 6, Dolphin Broswer HD, Weather and Toggle Widgets, Weather Widgets(yr.no), Poynt, AppBrain App Market, that's all I think

He did indeed say this. I'm guessing there's a pretty darn good chance of it having one.

So I have a upgrade on the 9th of this month and this is my plan please let me know what you guys think of it.

Ok, my plan is on my upgrade day get the x wait 29 days and see if this phone is released(if so return x and get dinc hd) if not I will return it and go back to palm pre and wait it out till something, this phone or something better is released(whatever comes first) and then use my upgrade, also I have my gfs upgrade next june(she just got the fascinate as a present for her bday from rents(wish i was so lucky haha) so im only forced to keep a phone till june, what do u guys think?

I'd say get an Incredible first to get used to Sense, then when this phone comes out at the end of the month, you'll have have done the following:

A.) Already gotten used to sense and how it works on your phone.
B.) You'll have decided whether not not you like sense and if you want it on your next phone.

I'd suggest doing that. Seems like a much better idea if you ask me.

See the thing is my best friend has evo and I love sense (why I love this phone so much) anyway I have never had a moto since my Q long time ago and I want to see if I like moto blur or not, plus Ive heard the x is really good to customize. Plus if I love the x I can keep it and get a LTE phone in june. Sound better now?

Apparently you're assuming a person who isn't sure of what app to download is ready to Root?

Not necessarily. He asked for good apps and these are the ones I think are pretty nice. They aren't all apps that require root. I think only 3 you have to be rooted for. Nothing wrong with knowing of some decent apps to download once you're rooted if you're rooted

Hi all! Long time lurker, first time poster.

It's been a roller coaster ride for me so far. I've been following this device since the BGR pics, and am a lurker from the previous (closed) thread.

I have to admit ... for a while I followed the dark side and didn't believe in Miami's posts (when the information wasn't coming as fast as I would particularly have liked it to mind you), but I stuck with it. "Why?" do you ask? I would like to say "Because I believe in my fellow man." or something else just as selfless or noble. Truth is ... I'm just extremely impatient and really want this phone!

Watching all the bashing of each other ... and with every post see us (yes, I said "us" as I've come to stalk .. ahem .. know you all as I've lurked) fall apart a little more until finally ... the thread was closed.

As disheartening as that was, it makes it even better to see us all getting along in this 2nd chance ... this new hope ... this new thread So much so, that I am taking a leap of faith ... I am drinking (as we speak) the Miami Kool-Aid. You go Miami for not getting discouraged!

I raise my glass to all of you that make this thread so fun to read ... the informants ... the mods ... even the trouble makers.

Sorry if this isnt that coherent ... I've worked 13 hrs today and I've had a couple drinks.

Okay, anyone want to fill me in on some stuff? Ha. I haven't looked at this in a while but I ready some threads and what not. I keep seeing people say it's the Droid Incredible HD but I didn't think it was. Unless they took off the front facing camera off, the kickstand was removed and the back was redesigned. And as far as I knew this phone had no name. So, did they remove all that good stuff and make it the Inc. HD or is this still a different phone?

We are calling this phone the Droid Incredible HD. Yes kickstand and stuff are there.

maybe they decided to kill the kickstand because it would make it more difficult to design cases for it. I mean this phone is going to be a hit, so I could totally understand their reasoning.

It could very well have a kickstand. Everything is unconfirmed speculations till an official look/press conference is held by Verizon or HTC.
I'm sure we will find out from one of the companies in the coming weeks.

Definitely interested in Rooting. Know good amount about it from researching and experiences with having stupid WinMobo phones in past. Different kernels, roms, blah blah. I'm all down with Rooting and setting the Droid freeeeeeeeeeeeeee
