Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

Just saw where the Merge is launching on the 17th, not the 11th as previosly stated. Does this effect the Launch date of The Dinc HD?

We're also separately told that the HTC Merge won't arrive until after the 17th -Engadget

I'm not sure, but I think you mean the original Droid Incredible will be getting the VCast App Store. Interesting in seeing how that will fair.

Yep, Engadget calls it "V CAST Apps app store". From The Department of Redundancy Department.

Just as long as we do not get the BlockBuster app! I dont mind the NFL app... We already know we will get pointless apps but there is nothing we can do unless its rooted. but i really dont care anyways

Maybe Verizon will release them both at the same time like they did with the Moto Droid and HTC Droid Eris.

I really don't care for it I would think their section on the market would be enough but hey guess they have to get their cut of the profits as long as more bloat us put in vzw app store and not my phone in good. I just hate seeing worthless apps like vznavigator and such on my phone is will never have a use for it.

Because they see an app store as a big money maker and want in on the party as long as gps isn't locked out and the Android Market isn't locked down I don't care

Hmmm I'm not sure how these dates will affect release of the dinc2 but, I'm guessing they will in a bad way. Like delayed till next year. I dont mean to sound negative, but that is ALOT of phones being released in the next several weeks already. Do they really have room for this phone with all the other stuff coming out? And I'm wondering if the dinc 2 will get pre-orders as well too. Interesting information for sure...

Again, that's an issue for the mfrs...VZW doesn't make money on phones. I would think all VZW wants is a steady and balanced stream of new phones to keep attracting people to their service. Just as easy for VZW to run a commercial "hey, we got a new phone come check us out" as it is to say "hey, we got 5 new phones comes check us out".

If I was a mfr, I'd prefer an exclusive release period where I didn't have to compete with other phones. But from VZW perspective, a bunch of new, exciting phones generates buzz and pulls people in.

The Droid Incredible HD was said to be Verizon's "big premier phone for the holidays". I'm sure if they were to push production and release faster, this is the phone they would expedite.

I'm cool sitting on my rooted Eris till a dual processor comes out. My girl has the inc and htc sucks when it comes to battery life. I'm still pissed Sprint is getting the MT2 first! Or was it at&t? Either way big red has the best coverage n maybe I'm bored with htc? Change is the only constant...

Hello All. I figured I would make my first post as I too have been a lurker for the last week and a half. I came upon this forum after Miami's info in regards to the release date hit the web. I must say it has been a good read, very entertaining. You guys are GREAT! As i said, very entertaining.

I currently have a Storm 1 and I'm done waiting for RIM to release epic device. The Dinc HD is the device I'm waiting/looking for. I can't wait for the release date! Or better yet a presale date!!! I'm looking forward to more info and pictures when Miami is allow to do so.

Again, you all are awesome. My hats off to you Miami for being the "go to" guy for Verizon/HTC. A lot of attention was brought to this site because of it.

I'm betting on this. Like H4 said, the DI HD is supposed to be their big premier phone for the holidays and they probably will be running a lot of ads on the phone, too.

All of this is pure speculation and Miami seems to be on the in with VZW.....Lets all wait and see what he has to share with us this weekend before we start guessing when this phone is coming out.
