Yes, the chat was lots of fun-lets do it again.

I'm really itchin for some leaked pics of anything. Just something.

Nexus S, Moto T2, Dinc HD, Moto tablet, something.

I know tell me about it! Just a scrap, thats all i need to get my fix.:icon_ banana:

ha we sound like dopers waiting for our next fix, funny stuff. Its all up to VZW, so lets cross our fingers, toes etc, and hope they decide to let something good out this weekend.

Yes electric. Just wait until you get rid of your iphone and start rooting and customizing your droid. You'll be following these threads even more, waiting for your next rom fix. Very addictive.

Wilmington and Chapel Hill. REPRESENT!

it's funny you say this...Wilimington is an area i'm looking at right now. It could be my next home very soon

I love living in Wilmington (from a college student's perspective). There is a lot to do here and its just a generally fun place to live. Are you looking in any specific neighborhood?

I would live downtown, Front street. I lived at 416 S Front street right beside the river. Awesome awesome place to live especially in historical places with downtown in walking distance.

I just looked on Phonedog and they have some news on phones that are coming out the 18th.....Nothing about a Dinc HD....not doubting, just stating a fact

I just saw this video:

Seems like the dx is better than the evo 4g. Since the dinc hd is a HTC and kinda close to the evo, i wonder if it will out beat the dx?

Yet this is rumored to have the newer snapdragon cpu which makes the evo look like childs play. Look up desire hd. That would be a closer comparrison in cpu performance. Either way this phone will hopefully be unlocked and if so good bye dx and motorola. I will never bye another locked down phone.

so back earlier in the week or maybe last week (i lose track with so many pages) someone said (i think H4?) a high up Verizon rep said this inc HD was going to release Nov 11th yet no one has heard anything but the 23rd on Miami's end..

well same goes for the Moto Droid Global with the 1.2ghz processor, no one knows when that one will release either and it will be i big one seeing that it will be the fastest clocked phone in america (stock)..

just read this article with a release date of 11/11 for the Droid Global.. not official but interesting.. i wonder if they would release another big holiday phone around or at the same time... and if its competing with the global who knows..

for business sales i mean they released the droid on nov 6th last year to get some sales in before black Friday, the earlier the better.. most likely it wont happen this way but 11th is not far away at all..

Lurking for a long time and just registered.

I dont know if I am missing something here but really whats the big deal with this phone if it is being released as described in this (and the last) thread.? I have been checking back often just to glean insight to a release date but really other than that I don't understand the hype. When I first saw the Evo I knew that was a good fit for me. I do not want to leave Verizon for the coverage and I knew it would only be a matter of time until they released a similar device. The Evo was released a loooong time ago and the Desire HD is old news already. Is a marginal bump in a processor really something to stand in line for? Honestly most people who I know that have an Evo disable 4G most of the time because it kills the battery. I believe there is enough real world evidence to suggest that battery life trumps performance. I think the 1G processor is fine for what most people use these phones for assuming there is a benefit of increased battery life. Actually the battery is my biggest concern with this phone because the new unibody construction virtually eliminates the possibility of attaching an extended battery (assuming larger form factor). If I have to constantly be concerned about being near an AC outlet then it kind of negates the whole portability thing (kind of the whole point of a mobile device).

So if this is indeed coming out in 2 weeks - and there has been this huge effort to keep it a secret - I would hope it offers something significantly different over the already aged Evo or Desire HD. I will still buy it because an Evo on Verizon is pretty much all I want - it will just be fumny I guess.

I'm trying to figure out how the Desire HD is already old news. It and the Desire Z are pretty new phones.

By the time this device, whatever it is gets released it will be time to start a whole new thread on the next great device. I mean they are making these things up faster then hotcakes.

Still it's fun to watch the speculation. Thank you all for keeping this thread on topic (most of the time) and treating each other with respect.

Yeah... how is the Desire HD old news... its barely even a month old.

I say its old news because in reality there are not enough significant changes from the long released Evo 4G to make it a news breaking device. I cant see how the Desire HD is going to be miles ahead of the Evo 4g.
