Been trying to use yakitori's kuro theme on the newer versions of miui, and won't import it. I tried to change it to mtz format still won't work. Any suggestions?? I also can't find the thread for kuro for miui either.

Tried to install once again just to make sure it wasnt the first time screwing up or anything else. Still an epic fail. It is mostly freezing and making it unusable. What a shame.

Also, i did wipe.

Cyanogen 6. I installed a different kernel and it seems a bit smoother, but it froze again after using it for a bit. I was on the charger just now, and i know that used to cause problems. Will try it a bit while its off.

Also, not using the default launcher. Im using Go Launcher. Though it has never had any problems in the past.

No themes installed.

edit: There it went. Screen turned off and wont turn back on.
edit: After hitting the power button about 10 times, it came on about 10 seconds after i stopped.
edit: Tried to add widget and froze, lol. Gonna go back to cyanogen. Nice, fast and smooth.

How about trying a new battery? You can get one new on amazon.com for under $10.

If my battery didn't last for 28+ hours on a different ROM last week, I'd be more inclined to believe that would help.

I notice you have a bugless sign for your signature. Is that the rom you were using to acheive the 28+ hours of battery life?

I had pretty good battery results with Bugless, though recently I have been on Project Elite and that is where I have made my measurements.


.. Not to try and dissuade anyone from using MIUI as it is a fine ROM of course.

Yes its necessary. Backup all your apps and setup with miui backup.

It really is a shame that the Chinese developers choose to ignore the MMS with video issue when EVERY OTHER ROM out there is capable and able to function normally with that feature. By continuing to "upgrade" and keep coming out with new releases with new features yet ignoring already existing issues seems like they're not really concerned with the people that are following them and using their ROM. In my opinion, it's one of the best ROMs out there and one capable of making money (I would have paid for it if they fix the basic operations like every other ROM is capable of doing). Instead, it saddens me that they choose to ignore the issues already existing.

One small issue I have is I can't add a facebook account in "Accounts and Sync" settings. When I click on facebook, it just goes to "accounts and sync" setting's main page.

Is there a way to go around this???

Did anyone else too or is it just me finding random Chinese in the ROM, other than that I am not having any other issues so far have been running for the first day 1.2.11 was released.... So far so GOOD!!!

May be T4Bama is not aware of this issue... T4 can you please loot at this??? Thanks

Sign in to your account through the Facebook app and it will be in the Accounts and Sync settings menu afterwards.

I'm probably one of the few people who have never watched LOST but I get your analogy. The thing that gets me is that you would think that they would take the issues/complaints/suggestions and welcome them and try their hardest to correct those issues. Afterall, they created this ROM for the end users, no? Makes no sense to create a really nice looking ROM and completely ignore the issues that the end users are experiencing. Oh well. I've fallen back to my dependable UD2.5 and have since upgraded to UD3.0

Difference being, if there are issues with UD and the developer hears of it, they work on it and correct it ASAP. UD's developer does ignore the complaints or problems that exist with their ROM.

yeah, i get that. but it's not like we have a completely direct and easy way of speaking with the developers. even if we were to go post at miui-dev, they're still a middleman of sorts. don't forget that metickone, jamezelle, and soon tp4bama are only porting it (don't mean that in a negitive way).

but i have faith that eventually things will get fixed. i remember the lockscreen bypass (when your phone's keyboard would accidentally slide out) being a pretty big problem. still, someone eventually stepped up. just took a while.

Rom Manager Fix Permissions and WiFi Tethering

My Miui is smooth. I got ADW EX and LP and still revert to stock Miui Launcher with Folders. Works like a charm. I have not been able to WiFi tether on this build. Anyone else experiencing that? Also, in Rom Manager I try to fix permissions and only get an error. Anyone else have that issue? My battery life is fine, I am using Set CPU. No restarts. I overclocked it. 15 sec time out screen with reboot options. Its all good. Thanks for your help on making this Rom work. We need can do people to keep working on Miui and can do people with D1's. Take care all.
