Just upgraded from .232 to .238....battery life is already WAY better. Completely noticeable.
I saw someone mention that all of the issues with the "dock apps" were fixed in .235. Unless the issues were reintroduced in .238, this is not the case for me.
When in put my phone in the car dock, i must unlock the phone first before the stock car dock app displays. Also, the home key does not bring me back to the car dock app when in car mode.
Can't get to the bedside mode when in the standard dock. Keeps crashing.
Is this what everyone else is seeing?
It's more than 3 weeks since the last ICS leak .238 and nothing from Moto/VZW after that, not even another version of the leak. So, what is going on? For a while I believed in the rumors that they want to fix the huge bugs that came with Razr ICS update so that the mistake is not repeated on Bionic but I am beginning to suspect that the delay is intentional for many reasons. Like
1) Push existing customers out of Bionic to RAZR before IPhone5 release
2) Get as many folks as possible out of unlimited data plans during the device switch
I wouldn't even trade my Bionic for a Droid Razr MAXX. I bought my Bionic off of e-bay and it's been one of the best purchases I've made smartphone wise. I've flashed so many different ROMs to try them out on my phone and the phone has run like a trooper and it's been relatively easy to get back to the Motorola ICS leak I have on my phone with SafeStrap on my phone. I hear a lot of people dogging the quality of the Motorola phones but I've had great luck with any Motorola phone I have ever owned. My first smart phone back in 2007 was a Motorola Q (Windows Mobile) and then I upgraded to a Motorola Q9C (another Windows Mobile). Both were excellent phones. I then got some Blackberry smartphones for the next couple of years and for the most part, the batteries in these phones were not as good as the ones in my Motorola Q's. I know some people have not had good luck with their Motorola smartphones but that's definitely not the case with me.Then the joke's on them. Modders already have their ICS and many flat wouldn't trade for a razr. Maybe a maxx.
cindylike24 said:This would not surprise me at all. I don't want to be too cynical, but I think that this Share Everything plan is something that they've concocted is their way of trying to squeeze more money out of their loyal customers. I did the math on this to see if this would help save me any money and it definitely wouldn't save me any money. Well, because of this, when my contract expires next year, I may just decide to go prepaid if I can find an Android phone that I like then. With a prepaid plan, I can pay half of what I'm paying now and get unlimited everything (including data). Too bad my contract isn't up until June 28, 2013.

Just putting in my two cents worth here.

It excites me when you rant like that
I am incredibly (no pun intended!) happy since I loaded the. 235 leak on my Droid. Right now it is the best phone I have ever used. No intention of even thinking about a new phone until the end of May next year. New Verizon plan does nothing good for me, so I, too, and thinking about pre-pay. It's full circle for me since the first phone I ever had was a pre-pay Motorola RAZR! We'll see what happens long around June 2013.
As for your question, the process I recommend in the House of Bionic is to wipe the cache right after the update is finished installing but before you reboot from recovery.
