NEW ICS leak .238

What's the best way to get to .238 if I'm on the old .2233 leak?

The best way to do manuever between any of the ICS builds is SamuriHL's House of Bionic.

READ the 1st post VERY closely. there are links to everything except the 3.0 patch (unless post one has been updated) and it's around page 116 in the same thread. just understand, there is no going back to GB. You're stuck using .238 or .235 until more options leak

I had read where you're talking about. Then I did a lot more reading and got confused since I saw no mention of .2233 specifically.

He made it for people that are on the upgraded security of .235/.238 to move forward.
It should still work since the whole premise of the app is to fake the security checks into thinking the phone is on official .905. (strictly theory on my part, I'm not sure)
just run as if you are reinstalling .238

On 2nd thought, maybe you should just FXZ the .905 and install the .238 through recovery.

dl only the HoB componets 1.0 and HoB 3.0 then install into your computer
locate 235 238 zip file then copy and paste to ext sd , you can also us HoB to push the files but i prefer doing i manually
run HoB select install 238 " basicly what this do is fxz you back to 905 "
then boot into stock recovery and flash 238

You would be part of the .232 and lower crowd.

For 232 or lower users, use INSTALL 238

232
230
229
2233
2231

For 235 users, use REINSTALL 238
235

Hmmmm. Nothing seems to work a lot better than on my current 232 and somethings seem to not work as well or be less polished (M screen). Maybe I'll still wait until the OTA, or actually until I get some feedback on the OTA after it's been out a day or two.

I skipped 235 but I noticed a noticeable improvement in battery life on 238. It's been on battery for ten and a half hours and I'm still at 91%.. flash works clocked at 1.2ghz

WTF!! Thats amazing battery life. Was your phone on standby that whole time? 3g or 4g? Extended battery or standard? Smart actions?

Oh yeah, it's an OEM extended battery. I abhor "smart actions", I turned on 4g and wifi a few times every couple hours to check mail and new ics and tethered wifi a couple times.. watched a few minutes of.. ahem.. sports :)

89% twenty minutes after being 91%.. the trick I found to extending the life is to turn on data only when you use it then turn it off

Cool. I need to toggle data like that. I run 4g at all times with extended battery and i average from 10 to 15 hours a day. I tried to mess with smart actions but it seems a little too complicated when mostly what its doing is turning data on and off. Thanks

ok i maybe late to updating to 238 but i cant find the 238 file link to install it

edit: why do i feel really silly???? thanks samuri for the HOB.. this was by far the easiest update i have ever done on any phone.

Yeah, I'm on. 235 and. 238 has too many bad reviews so far. It seems pretty shaky...Idk.

I've not heard any of these bad reviews...then again, almost all I've seen of it are on this thread saying how good it is.
