New ICS Leak for Bionic

Is anyone else's flash player not working correctly? Viewing a video on the mobile youtube site works fine, but the desktop site (or any other flash video site like dailymotion) won't play the video. It just loads the player but freezes when the video is about to play.

What browsers are you using?

I just tried watching some videos on CNN with stock browser and it works fine. Try going into settings - advanced and reset to default.
If that doesn't work, sometimes these oddities can also be cured by doing a hard reset.

You Tube will work without Flash. Is Flash installed? Because on mine it was not, I had to manually install it. If it is installed then hit it in manage apps and delete all the cache and data and then uninstall and reinstall from the market.

The announced drop date has been early q3. It looks like Moto/Verizon are working on that schedule. Many of us early adopters have learned to wait for our updates. Patience grasshopper, patience.

its been a longtime since i've done anything outside of the ota updates. i just resently flashed to 2233. will i still get the official ota update?

That's a definite maybe, but easily addressable.

If you do the leaks, there's a greater than average chance that you'll have to FXZ back to 902 and upgrade to 905 to get back on the OTA path to take the official update when it's released. But it's not hard...just tedious as you have to reset up your phone.

You don't have to re-setup your phone if you use titanium backup.

Yea this is true. I'm in the middle of testing a procedure to downgrade to 902 without losing data, and then without booting the phone up, installing 905 and the latest ics leak on top of it. So far rsd isn't cooperating so I may switch to writing my own batch file to make it easier. We'll see how it goes.

ok Keep data, download moto-fastboot. Unzip it and put the 3 files in there into the 902 fxz folder. Rename the 902 fxz just 902 and have it on your desktop. open a command prompt
cd desktop/902 (enter)
moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img (enter)
moto-fastboot flash system system.img (enter)
moto-fastboot flash preinstall preinstall.img (enter)
moto-fastboot flash webtop grfs.img (enter)
moto-fastboot erase cache (enter)
moto-fastboot reboot (enter) It won't boot but give it 30 secs-1 minute and then power down and boot recovery flash 905 and then ICS.
Root, done.

Thanks, Timmy. That's basically the script I just wrote. I'm waiting for 229 to finish installing from my previous attempt before I try it. Can't we combine that with adb to get us into recovery mode on that last reboot? Then we can just apply the 905 and latest ICS update in there, wipe the cache, reboot, root it, and call it good. :)

The problem i've had with booted straight into recovery after the flash is with wiping cache. Recovery won't mount the cache partition until you reboot.

Hmmm. That's kind of a pain then. I wanna play around with this cause I think it'd be handy to be able to run a script from the 902 FXZ directory to be able to update to the latest ICS with the minimum amount of work possible. (I'm lazy! I also like automation so I don't screw things up...the simpler the better) It's rebooting now so I can play with this some more. I have a couple ideas.
