New Keyboard Concept Tries To Change Our World

I still have hope, it's just the fact that the text is NOT showing on my text field.. so I don't know if I'm doing it right or wrong.

Too frustrating. Uninstalled. Same problem as what I have with Swype... I can't remember where the dang letters are, meaning I end up lifting my finger anyway. I need to get one of those new, see through hands.

See through hands are available in the market for ¢99

Someone said it... technology like this that reinvents the wheel (no pun intended) needs to be FREE to encourage users to try, or at least have had a BETA release that was free before making it a pay-for app.

Marketing mistake IMO.

Voice to text is probably 2 years away from completely eliminating the need for soft/physical keyboards. Works pretty good right now, if you speak slowly and distinctly. But it's the processor and memory that probably causes it to lag a bit.

It actually is being sent to google to be decoded...

What do you mean? That Google is working on it or that it's not actually been Google Android in-house code?

Rut Row I might be getting hooked

OK so I decided to fork out that big $1.59 and give it a whirl. This WILL take some time but it's becoming like a game for me. Like Angry Birds but I think it will be a LOT more productive.... LOL. I'm actually getting the hang of this. So maybe instead of playing useless games I might play with this... AND it's really becoming quite fun!!!!!

I'm not too sure about this keyboard concept. Might be worth trying but don't think it would be worth it to me.

Yep, sounds about right, 45 mins to type an email...
"I'll by anything if it's shinny and made by Apple" :rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:
I thought this was a joke.
I also thought your quote "I'll by anything if it's shinny and made by Apple" was just you teasing on apple fanboys.
Then I saw the video.
Then I googled macbookwheel. I still couldn't believe such a thing would be real.
Reality is stranger than fiction.

Not a fan. First off, I can't see through my thumb... or finger. Second, I'm sure once you memorize the locations of the characters it would be easier, but that would include letters, numbers and symbols. I'm not opposed to the idea of using a non-qwerty input, but I find that the pullout keyboard on my D1 makes this more hassle than it's worth, SlideIT works great for my touchscreen keyboard when it's necessary, and Vlingo is rapidly becoming my favorite way to communicate when I'm driving.

Not to mention, SlideIT has a free version and Vlingo is also free. Maybe if they had a beta or trial for you to get used to, people would get the hang of it and be willing to pay for the full version. However, since I've only got 24hrs to evaluate it, I think it'll be forgoing any future 8pen experiences and getting my money back.

I'm not saying this is a bad app, or a bad idea... just not right for me.

it actually is a pretty good idea. after about 3 minutes i already had all the vowels memorized, wouldn't take too long to get everything else. i think swype is a good idea, but it seems that the better i got with swype the more inaccurate it became. also, there seems to be that bug in the latest versions (didn't they say there would be an update to fix it soon?) that doesn't help either. sometimes i'll swype something perfectly and it will put like "brsxfgs". that isn't even a word in my dictionary...

anyways, this keyboard definitely has the ability to be very accurate and pretty fast but it will definitely take time.

Well its a great idea but the learning curve is very steep i typed this using 8pen and granted it took a little longer to type versus my droid x stock keyboard but im getting very fast using this i think i will keep this very cool app as i see myself blazing on this in no time

Yeah... I cant see the letters through my finger when I don't know where the letters are. Incredibly high learning curve.

This keyboard REALLY sucks. I spent about 4 hours trying to learn it today, and it is just not worth it. Even once you get real good at it, it is very slow compared to a good multi-touch qwerty or Swype.
I kept putting in more and more time because it is kind of addicting like a game, its fun to learn something new, like it was with t9, but it is just not useful.
If you got super good at it, it would be good for the no look text, or texting and driving but lets be honest, it just isn't worth it.

I would recommend that you save your money this time

i think its good that they are trying new things, but i cant see through my finger, but more importantly, i dont understand how to select a letter thats not the very first on closest to the black dot
