New RUU Leaks For HTC Thunderbolt – Fixes GPS, Audio Recording And LTE Hand-Off

Can we go over 1.4 with 1.5? We do need to download :icon_ banana:radio no matter what Rom we load correct?
So to install this basically hook the phone up to the comp. Download the new radio, rename it the same same as the old, delete the old from the SD card and place new onto the root of the SD. Then load into h boot let it do its thing when asked to update choose yes. Does this sound right? Now if I experience problems and want to revert back can I just load up a nandroid backup I have? Sorry for such a long post just want to cover my bases.

Mine was kinda doing same I ckd maps and it was about 3 blocks from my house. I fixed that know gps works in 10 seconds or so. Battery life still bad but Im in 4G
There's no way to tell if the LTE firmware updated but if you go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information you will see the new radio if it was flashed as "1.16.00.0402w_1" under Baseband.

1.16.00.0223r is the number under baseband should I try again I was scared to remove the original PG05IMG could that be why it failed do I need to remove it first? When I did the first one it wiped out bamf 1.4 will it do the saame again? I also lost root is it supposed to or just glich
You might have flashed the wrong one. There's a signed one for nonrooted users (S -on) and one for rooted users (S-off).

New radio with LTE firmware included. Put it on sdcard. Boot to hboot and flash.

I'm sorry if this has been posted/discussed, but I read this thread and the XDA threads and did not see it.
I was under the impression this RUU was supposed to correct the 3G/4G handoff (aka mobile network disconnect/timeout) issues. Is that the case? Am I confusing these issues?
I've been on .0402 since Thursday and I've dropped mobile network at least 5 times, forcing me to reboot and/or pull the battery to regain network access. I've also randomly had the phone reboot itself twice, both times during a network disconnect/timeout...
I flashed the signed version from stock, non-root and left it that way (still non-rooted).
I appreciated any feedback or direction anyone could provide. Maybe I'm confused...??

I flashed BAMF 1.5 twice and the radio before flashing the ROM twice as well, overkill perhaps, but My LTE since has been more reliable and faster than the Wifi at my Univeristy. It does switch from 3G to LTE quite quickly as well.
My GPS is crazy it literally locks in seconds, the fastest I have ever had in any phone, I was sitting in my house and I opened maps it was in key west, and then in less than a second it came to my area, and one more second found my house, and I am not by any windows or anything!
Speedview has me at 11/12 satellites when I open the app.
Lastly I feel like I am getting LTE in more places, but I definitely got LTE in bulding where I wouldnt even get 3G, sooo I love this new RUU
